Sample Conjugations of Regular Verbs
Below are sample conjugations of regular ER, IR, and RE verbs, plus a sample conjugation of a pronominal verb. The verb, its definition, its present and past participles, and whether it uses avoir or tre as its auxiliary verb are all listed (in that order). It is then conjugated in the seven simple tenses, plus the imperative mood. This is all you need to be able to conjugate these verbs in all the tenses and moods. To find out how to form the compound tenses from the information that is given here, go to Formation of the Tenses.
*The forms for each tense are listed in the order of je, tu, il/elle/on, nous, vous, ils/elles (and for the imperative, in the order of tu, nous, vous).
*For the past participles of verbs conjugated with tre, "(e)(s)" is written after the regular past participle because if a verb is conjugated with tre, the past participle must always agree with the subject.
