Fun Things for kids to make.  When using sharp scissors or knives make sure an adult is present to supervise
Magik Star invitations

Tools Needed:
Colored construction paper
2 Apples cut horizontally
4 Different colored liquid paint
Glitter glue
Gold Sparkles.

How to make:
1. Fold construction paper in half.
2. Lightly coat half an apple in  one paint and press on  the construction paper!
3. Decorate with glitter glue and sparkles.
4. When dry write your invitation and send to friends.
How to make Papier Mache

Items you'll need:
1/2 cup of all purpose flour
2 cups water
3 tbs sugar
1 old newspaper torn in strips not cut with scissors.

Mix together the flour water and sugar to make a soupy paste. Dip paper in the mix.  Wrap around object allow each layer to dry before starting another layer.  Torn edges have a smoother finish.

Alien PINATA

Items needed:
1 Large round balloon 1  light rope.
Papier Mache
1 Small can silver spray paint

2-3 Fake plastic eye buttons
2 Bags of candies
2-3 Silver painted spirals

Assembly:
1. Place strips of papier mache all around balloon with rope attached to balloon already. Let dry and spray paint it.
2 Add a few spirals with eyes for decoration
3. Pop the balloon when dry and cut an opening flap to insert candies inside.
4.Hang in large open area.
5. Use plastic bat to try to break the Pinata.
How to make Glue

1 cup of whole wheat flour
11/2 cup of cold water

Instructions:
1. Blend flour and water to make a paste (consistency of pancake batter) beat until no more lumps.
2. Place in a pan on low heat
3. Bring to a boil  while constantly stirring. 
4. Remove from heat and let cool
5. Store in airtight container
6. If paste hardens, soften by adding a small amt of water


Spook Box
- younger children

Items you'll need

1 Refrigerator box
2. Black crepe or tissue paper
3. Homemade pictures of witch
or Pumpkin, Ghost, Skeleton etc.
1 Exacto knife
1 Scotch tape.

Assembly:
1. Cut opening big enough for a child's
head.
2. Wrap box with tissue paper
3. Paste pictures around box.
4. Ready to take pictures with child sticking head out of box opening.
5. Or use for a game of toss. try to throw tissue paper wads  or roled up socks thru the opening.


Glowing Flying Bats

Items needed:
1 Black poster board
2. Glow in the dark paint
3. Few strips of black yarn

Assembly:

1. Draw and cut out large bats
2. Make 2 small holes
3. Insert yarn and make a knot
4. Paint edges with glow paint
5. Hang from ceiling or doorways
Sugar Cube Castle

Ingredients:
1 Box of Sugar cubes
Colored Icing for Mortar
1 Pkge small gumdrops,
1 Pkge M&M's or Smarties or
candy coated chocolates
1 Pkge shoestring licorice
1 Tinfoil covered cardboard
1 Craft stick or plastick knife

Assembly:
1. Place some icing on the tinfoil for
foundation.
2. Make first layer of sugar cubes
in icing.
3. Make it wide rather than tall
4. Each layer requires icing sugar to hold
cubes together.
5. Create castle using yur imagination.
6. Decorate with candy.
ICING FOR SUGARCUBE CASTLE

Ingredients:
2 Egg whites
3 Cups sifted icing sugar
Red food coloring

Instructions:

1.Beat 2 egg whites till stiff
2.Gradually add the icing sugar until the icing is of a thick spreading consistency. 
3. Add food coloring until desired pink coloring. 
4. Any food coloring can be used depending on the item being made eg: white for gingerbread house, green for xmas wreaths, leaves ect..
