Dr. Cohen, age 40, and Dr Goldblum, age 70 were both successful psychoanalysts in Miami. They had offices in the same medical building, and on occasion met on the elevator. Dr Cohen the younger, looked beat, tired and completely exhausted as he entered the elevator one evening. There was Dr. Goldblum looking fresh as a daisy at the end of his day.
Cohen said to Goldblum, "I don't understand how you can look so calm, spry and relaxed after listening to all those drooling, complaining, neurotic patients all day... their craziness wears me out every day. "
Goldblum smiled, patted Cohen on the shoulder, and said in a fatherly manner...."What! You listen?" |
