Joe: Was I wrong?  Is this the start of a rush?  We discussed it the night before, and found out that Matt loves Culpepper.  If he stays healthy, Culpepper is a fantasy monster.  He might not be ideal as an NFL QB, but he accumulates so many yards!  Its not really worth talking about the quality of the first picks that much, since they should all be stars.  Jake and Matt rule!
Phil: C-Pep, C-Pep!  Thats what Oleg would have said, had he not had to be hittin up the bars, Slim.  I know youve heard that by now, but it must be repeated.  You know the deal here, certain fantasy-monster potential, but some question marks, namely involving turnovers and injuries, linger.

Joe: I thought I liked Shaun Alexander more, but I just checked my rankings, and I guess I was wrong.  It doesnt matter.  He has a first pick back with the #8 pick.  Apparently Ade had a party to go to with G, so from this point on the parts of Jason and Oleg were played by Ade and G.
Phil: Deuce-Deuce!  I love Deuce.  If I had to take him in the first round, I would have felt no shame.  Nor should Mr. Ojo-Ade for such a fine pick.

Joe: Here we are, at the end of the round, and top RBs are still being picked.  What an amazing and glorious year we have here.  Im so glad I picked a RB first, because Id be stuck with Marcell Shipp with my first back by the time we got back to my 2nd round pick.  Alexander, I remember now, is under McAllister in my rankings for the following reason: hes too inconsistent.  He routinely puts up good numbers across the season, but sometimes he gets 4 TDs and sometimes he goes 4 weeks without a TD.  Still good though, I suppose.
Phil: RBs, get your RBs!  This is how fantasy football drafts should go, not like last years first-round QB-fest.  Good pick from a man who claimed he found his list in the garbage before arriving at our humble draft.  Good pick?  A first-round pick better be good.

Joe: Q-Bert certainly didnt expect Manning to fall into his lap here.  This is ridiculous value for a 10th pick.  I had Manning as my #2 quarterback, and any other year I might have taken him with my #4 pick.  Manning is the most consistent top guy in the NFL.  I think he broke 6000 yards last year.  Really.
Phil: Gotta love Peyton.  Always a consistently great fantasy player.  Dan ends the first round with a SHAZAM!
