| In this section, I'm looking back at last year's draft. Which picks were good? Which picks were bad? Actually, many good picks didn't work out, and many bad picks did work out. Instead, I'm going to list how some picks turned out for some people. If you took Kurt Warner first and he got hurt, it still hurt you. This page is sort of like evaluating our picks as if we had that Back to the Future almanac. How well did each pick turn out for people? I'm listing the best and the worst. The ranks are just among each position, so for example, Portis was the 28th back taken, and he finished 4th among the running backs. Unranked (U) means worse than 46th for running backs, worse than 33rd for quarterbacks, and worse than for receivers. These numbers correspond to the number of these players we drafted at each position. I'm not going to go through and find out how lowly the worst of the worst players were. There had to be a cutoff. Also, these are not exact. I'm sure there's some people that have retired that will mess me up, but I don't care that much. It's an approximation. |
