| Still too early, to me, to get a WR. I think there's gonna be a rush on them in the third and fourth rounds, but I would have secured myself a running back before the 36th pick in the draft. Definitely not a losing pick though. It just might make some later picks losers. The first real reach of the draft. Aaron Brooks is rumored by some to be ready for a breakout, but we shouldn't get crazy. He's not gonna be much better than Trent Green and/or Brian Griese, and we know that those guys are going to be available a lot deeper in the draft. I don't like this pick at all. He could have had someone like Corey Dillon or Ricky Williams! This pick was actually a load off my mind. I was stressing over whether I'd pick Williams or Dillon once I saw that both could be available to me. Arun made the choice easy, by making himself a nice little pick. Ask G, though, and he'll tell you that your season is going down the drain. For some reason he HATES Dillon. He traded him to me last year, and he was pretty good, but G was happy.he was gone. I originally, and even recently had Ricky Williams ranked 5th overall. I didn't feel comfortable taking him until after Dillon was gone. I might regret not taking Eddie George here. He could be great. He also might not be. Anyway, I can't see Williams doing worse than he did on the Saints, which was pretty good anyway. I'm happy with Williams, but I'm a little bit uneasy. And queasy. And cheesy. Fo sheezy. I think Holmes went where he should have. I've seen him go much earlier, and I'm just not convinced. He had a humongous year last year, but with Trent Green more confident (because I say he is) and Morton forgetting that he is not David Boston, I think Holmes will become a smaller part of the Chiefs' offense. Oleg said Phil was drafting terribly at this point. He said that Thomas shouldn't have gone that high. Whatever. Aaron Brooks should have been a lot lower, and the only people I would have considered here over the A-Train are Ladanian Tomlinson, Eddie George, and maybe Deuce McAllister. Ewww...I don't like this pick. I think everyone and their mom has Gannon ranked too highly. It's not Stefan's fault, though. It's ESPN's. The "G" QBs, Griese, Gannon, and Green, should all be available around the fortieth pick. He did make sure he got a QB, though, which is something. I can't believe the Q-man passed on LT2 here. I have Ladanian Tomlinson marked off as my 10th ranked player. QuDanny has similar rankings to me. Holt is still a good player, and he is the best of what's left of the WRs, but I have the feeling we'll have much more trouble finding an extra QB or RB on bye week than a WR. Pretty much interchangeable with Torry Holt. Look for Freddie Jones to take away from his production....OK. Not really. Freddie Jones is a bum. Look for Thomas Jones to....no. Not him either. Boston is still all they have. I have the Redskins' defense in my other league, and they play the Cards in week 1. I can't wait. If they do well enough, I might trade them (if people are offering high enough). People are really reaching for QBs here. McNair is not a second round guy. First, you have to realize that 8 QBs have gone already, and that a lot of guys still need a RB. A guy like McNair is gonna be available in the coming rounds. By the way, Phil prophesizes a comeback for "Air", but I say let-down. Only time will tell. Actually, I think it only depends on Eddie George. All I remember anyone saying here is "he's old". I agree. He is old. And McCaffrey's leg is no longer in two pieces. And Shannon Sharpe is here. I think Smith is goin' down. I definitely like Horn better, and Key- Shawn and Moulds a little bit more also. By the way, I ran into Howard, Alexei, Ringer, and Matt Liu the other day. The only important details: Matt was wearing his "Maverick" glasses and Ringer now has blue hair. Well, he got the guy that he supposedly considered taking 1st with his 24th pick! I tried so hard to trade my pick and something else to get the number 1 pick, because I so wanted Faulk, and I had a feeling James would last pretty long. Two questions for ya, G: are deaf people allowed to use sign language in charades. I can't remember the second one, but have you ever touched Friegen's butt? Thas just sexy. Winners: Ade, Arun, Joe, Matt H, Phil, Danny, Jason, G Losers: Oleg, Stefan, Mike, Howard |
