Philosophy
This section of my web page is strictly devoted to personal philosophy.
Seeing as how I expend countless of hours philosophizing and meditating on the subject of truth, I thought this forum would be a perfect opportunity for me to share some of my personal views with you, the viewer.
Commentary for 5/18/00: Youth Marriage
Why do people get married when they are 21 years old? They feel the need for what? How can someone, 21 years of age, be even REMOTELY financially independent of his/her parents? Don't these people know that they have some of the best years of their life ahead of them? "But they have found that special someone!" Great! Good for you! But how can you be so sure? How can something feel so right? It just does? Yeah, well, one, tiny ounce of doubt will multiply into one big old regret. I once read that 90% of a person's happiness is related to his or her spouse. My message to anyone out there around 20-23 years of age...think about it! This isn't a critique, just a warning! All I know is that I will be financially stable when I get married. What happened to common sense? Don't be stupid. Enjoy life.
Commentary for 10/18/00: Perspective
Sometimes we forget what it's really all about. As I was eating dinner with two good friends tonight, it suddenly hit us, just how good life is. Students often complain or bitch or moan about problem sets, laundry, women problems, money problems, getting fat, getting old...but when it comes down to it, we should really be sitting around talking about how GOOD IT IS. Because after all, it IS pretty good. Take a second, to just look around yourself and see how GOOD IT IS. Go, open your refrigerator, take out a cold one, and tell yourself how GOOD it really is.
Commentary for 01/10/01: Respect
Well, seeing as though this is my place to "go off" I think I might just take the liberty to do so. You know what really pisses me off? Womyn. That's right. They cause nothin' but heartache. To all the fellas out there, do yourself a favor and stay out of their business. To this day, I haven't found a case where she was worth more than the hassle. They just end up giving you an extra big ulcer right in your belleh. I'm done. I just think the least a womyn could do is to tell you she doesn't want to have anything to do with you. It's all about respect ...do you hear that ladies? Have the decency to at least tell the guy off right to his FACE! You don't have to be nice. Conclude the situation. Be on with it. Don't drag something out ...that's like putting salt in a wound, better yet, pulling out the bayonet ever so slowly. So take my advice and invest your heart and soul into something that will give back to you. Like a musical instrument. Sure, it won't keep you warm at night, but it won't break your heart. A musical instrument doesn't TAKE TAKE TAKE, it GIVES! That's the beauty of it. So next time you're debating whether or not to take your hunny out on the town, why don't you get a clue, save your money (or even spend it on yourself), take out that old clarinet or trumpet or whatever you played in the high school marching band, and rediscover a true, unconditional love. Music.
