a whirlwind's passing me by
i'm swirling, twisting
careening
and strands of my hair
are whipping about
nipping at my face and my arms
every time it comes by
it whisks me abroad
into waterfalls crashing together
and faeries that play among
soft dewy grass
and the sun reaches
displaying shadows upon me
yet when i get up to
make my feet as light as those
wing adorned friends of mine
they grow heavy
they sink me down
and i'm back
waiting for a whirlwind to
pass me by
back to poems
back to wriggling toes
