This is the car that started my love of the big GM FWD Luxury two-doors. It is a 1982 Cadillac Eldorado (I call it Eldo). I bought this car for $500. This car was surprisingly solid. Most Eldo's (and cars of the sort: Rivieras and Toronados) rust out in the rear quarters, fenderwells, bottom of the doors, etc. The quarters on this car were perfect. The only major rust problem was the bottoms of the doors. They were starting to get holes. This car was a fun beater. It had over 150K but still ran allright. The paint was dull and the interior was stained, but it had a power moonroof and rode really smooth. It was pretty much a gutless wonder with a Cadillac aluminum block 4100 DFI (Digital Fuel Injection) V-8. Other than a fan belt that didn't like to stay on, this car didn't have any major problems. I love my Eldo. |
