My Heritage
If you can't already tell from the background, I'm Polish. My maternal grandparents were both of Polish origin. In fact, some of my Great-grandparents on my mother's side came through Ellis Island. However, I'm not sure of the exact dates of their arrival.
Below is a version of my "Mini-me." I think it's one of my favorite pictures of all time. I was about 4 years old in this picture (No, I'm not wearing red and white for my heritage. It just so happened that way.). Very studious, don't you think?

This is a picture of my mother's parents. My Grandfather is the football player kneeling down. My Grandmother is standing directly behind him. My Great-aunt is on the far right. The other two women are unidentified individuals.
My family has always lived in Cresson. It's a small town located in western central Pennsylvania. Many people often wonder what the attraction is to this area that keeps people around. After all, there isn't much industry left in the area and many of the jobs are becoming service oriented jobs. Usually, when people ask me why I have decided to stay in the area, I can't put into words all of the reasons. I guess my best answer is below. Where else can you find this kind of view and peace of mind?
