Web Exercises and Activities:

(Tip: keep the names of your created Hot Potatoes files short. If they need to be long, add an underline between words: e.g. my_new_file.html. If you haven't done this already, you might need to re-create your exercises before uploading them and linking to them - simply renaming them probably won't solve the problems, since. Remember that most Hot Potatoes exercises consist of three parts - the main file: e.g. vocab.htm and then two subordinate files: vocabc.htm and vocabw.htm. You must be sure to upload all three and link to only the main file)

  1. My Quia website has matching exercises, flashcards, puzzles and games.
  2. Cloze exercize made using HotPotatoes (make sure you've uploaded the exercises)
  3. Matching exercise made using the Interactive Quizmaker
  4. Text with dictionary help (made with Word 97 and links to dictionary or glosses)
  5. Link to your teaching units, fiches (sp?), texts, exercises, scanned images, etc
  6. Add as many as you wish, but make sure your URLs are correct.

Advanced: Add images (Insert - Picture - From File) - the file you choose must be identical in name to the file you are linking to in your webaccount. In other words, to link to a file, you need to first have/save it to your harddrive or account and then already have it uploaded into your account. I was able to link to this Rockwood file because I had already downloaded it to our T: directory. I then uploaded it to my webaccount.
