WELCOME TO THE JOHNSON JOURNALS ONLINE!

Our family was "founded" on 26 September 1997, when Daryl & I were sealed in the San Diego Temple for time & all eternity. We each brought many things into the relationship: knowledge, life experience, love, friendship...and I brought a little boy named Christopher from a brief first marriage. We lived in northern Virginia for four years, but moved to West Virginia in the summer of 2002. We are active members in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Daryl served a mission in Detroit, Michigan. I converted to the church as an adult, and was baptized in June 1996. Currently, Daryl serves as the Scoutmaster and Kathi, who was recently released as the Enrichment (2nd) Counselor in our ward's Relief Society, now serves as an early morning Seminary teacher.

CHRISTOPHER is our ninth grader. He is active in his Boy Scout troop and plans to obtain his Eagle Scout. He has maintained a "B+" average in school. Basketball is his favorite sport, and he spends as much time as possible "shooting hoops" in order to excel. He is an artistic, happy, helpful young man.

Our seven year old twins, MATTHEW and MEGHAN, are in second grade! They were both nominated as Star Students of the Month because of their good work habits and helpful natures. They love to be outside - in the pool, in the yard or on the playground. Matthew loves his micro Rescue Hero playsets and dinosaurs, riding his scooter & making music. Meghan loves art, reading, her dolls - and her little sister. As is often said, "Double the work, but double the pleasure!" Both of them play basketball in a rec league.

Now 4 1/2, BROOKE is our youngest child and our family miracle! She survived two surgeries within the first two months of her life and continues to marvel us by the way she progresses each day. She loves to drag her baby doll around and chase her siblings. She has been using sign language as her primary means of communication (has over 350 signs) but we're working on improving her speech. There are some significant articulation problems, but we're working on that! She is in a special education preschool and knows her letters, colors, numbers & shapes.

We hope that this website will serve both as an introduction to our family and as a way to keep in touch with family and friends. We have sections for our family news, events and announcements, so if you want to stay "in the know" you'll have to keep visiting us for updates!

SPECIAL NOTE

Brooke now has a special Caring Bridge website to update family & friends on her
upcoming surgeries and needs. Please visit her site for more information.
