A few months after Muffin died, meowmie got a job working in the deli at a local grocery store.  One day, she came home with a kitten that was living in the alley behind the store!  I was leery, but once I saw her I couldn't help but feel bad; she was this dingy gray color and her fur was all matted down, and she had a bad flea infestation.  I wanted to meet her but meowmie wouldn't let me; she took her downstairs and gave her a long bath to get rid of the fleas.  When she finally brought her back upstairs, I was shocked; this kitten was WHITE!!  She had some blackish-brown spots, and her tail was almost pure black; but the bulk of her fur was white.  She was really pretty!  Meowmie named her Tasha Yar, after a Star Trek character she liked; Tasha and I hit it off right away!
When meowmie and dad-dad got married, they took us to live with them.  But meowmie suspected soon afterwards that her father, my grampa, had Alzheimer's Disease or something similar, so she sent me to live with gramma and grampa so I could be sort of a "therapy cat" for grampa.  I've been there ever since; but I really miss meowmie.  They lived far away, in North Carolina, for a year; they're back in Illinois, but I still don't see her that much.  Recently meowmie brought Tasha to live here and keep me company; I was very happy to see them both!!  Tasha and I chase each other all over the house, just like meowmie and I used to do.  Meowmie promised me that she would find a house soon, and as soon as they move in she would come for me and Tasha and bring us home....
This is me with Tasha, she was about six months old here.  Isn't she beautiful??  I'm so lucky to have her for a li'l sister...
