About The Centre
Established in 1981 with the intention
of training the next generation of trainers and behaviourists, we are
still the principle teaching establishment in the united Kingdom. More
professional behaviourists have studied at the Northern Centre for
Canine Behaviour than any other teaching establishment.
John has recently been given the honour
of being invited to sit on the comittee of the Companion Animal
Welfare Council, whose function is to advise Parliament on issues
relating to companion animals in the U.K.
John is a founder member of the
Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors and also a member of the U.K.
Registry of Canine Behaviourists, and is a founder of support dogs.
Which course is for me?
All courses are designed as 'stand
alone' which means that you can take them in any order you wish. Read
through this prospectus and find one that best suits your needs and
simply fill in the booking form, sending it off with the correct
deposit and the place will be reserved on the course of your choice.
What can I expect to gain from
the course?
In addition to a rare insight into the
canine mind you should also expect to gain complete, upto the minute,
knowledge on both training techniques and behaviour therapy so
necessary for people either engaged in, or contemplating entering the
field of applied canine behaviour. All students receive a certificate
of attendance in the satisfactory completion of the course. The
learning atmosphere is very relaxed and informal.
