This is the day we picked D.J. up from
"Beagles and Buddies" dog rescue. It was about a month after we got Mika, and
she was lonely whenever me and Ayako had to leave, so we thought she needed a
friend. As you can see, Ayako was a little bit excited. Unlike Mika, D.J. was
not nervous at all when we picked him up. He had more of an attitide like "What
took you guys so long?" He liked his new name, and was happy to be with us.
Mika, on the other hand was not thrilled at the prospect at having to share the
apartment with a male terrier. After a few tense days, they had their heirarchy
arranged. D.J. would have to let Mika be the boss, at least most of the time.
Now, they are best friends, but Mika has learned that a Jack Russell Terrier is
never completely subservient to anything, except his impulses.
