The Cast
John Rackham (Marlow): Studied drama at Nene College and trained as a drama teacher at Bretton Hall.  In 1985 he founded the Mad Mole Theatre Co., which toured extensively throughout England.  In 1992 he formed Rogues' Yarn Productions.  He has adapted several Conrad stories including Lord Jim, (commissioned by the Joseph Conrad Society), in which he played the lead, and The Secret Sharer.
TV work includes ITV's The Bill and Strange But True Encounters. 
Film includes Haunted House and independent shorts The Beach, Rio Ponchos and Come Back.

Henry Dunn (Kurtz, Young Agent, Doctor): Trained at the London Academy of Performing Arts.  Theatre roles include: The Hostage in One Night (Man in the Moon), Cornelius in Lord Jim (Two Way Mirror), Orestes (Greenwich Theatre), Lodovico in The White Devil (Southwark Playhouse), Wise Hammer in Our Country's Good (Lyric, Hammersmith) and George Cedar in Confidence (Comedy).
Film includes
The Guessing Game, Rio Ponchos and Dumb Little Country Boy.

Ben Shockley (Harlequin, General Manager): Theatre roles include: Artie in Hurly Burly, (London, West End), Macduff and Duncan in Macbeth, Bertozzo in Accidental Death of an anarchist, and Jimmy Porter in Look Back in Anger.
TV includes: Crime Monthly (LWT), Journey's End (BBC) and All the Kings Men (BBC)
Film includes:
Reckoning (channel 4), Driven (Dandelion/Earthbound), Dumb Little Country Boy (Channel 4) and The Anniversary (Armstrong Films).
Back to the heart of darkness
Heart of Darkness played at the San Francisco Festival Fringe 2001, between 6th and 16th september we played 6 shows, including a performance on September 11th.  We, and the staff at the Exit theatre, thought that it was best to go on with life, not to give in to terror.
