| Dot the I A poppy demo song. Nothing special. 3 p The Love Goodbye A-ha's best demo. It could really have developed into something very good if it was chosen to be a part of "Hunting high and low" 5 p Go to sleep A sweet demo song from the early days. Sounds a bit like "And you tell me", a nice little ballad that should have been on the "Hunting high and low" album. 4 p Lesson One (take on me) The demo version for "Take on me". I have only heard this one in Realplayer 7 format, but that makes no difference because this song is just noise! The famous synthpart sounds weak and the composition of the song is quite bad. A-ha should thank the producers that remixed this one to the famous "Take On Me". 2 p Stop! And Make Up Your Mind The B side to the "Take on me" single. And theres just two words for this track: Crazy synthpop. Catchy, happy and light, nothing more... 5 p Shapes That Go Together The official olympic theme, a "funky" song that dont belong to my favorites. The guitars sounds like U2 or someone else, not a-ha. But the song has a very nice melody. 6 p Driftwood The B side to the "The Sun Always Shines On TV" single. Not too bad but not too good either. Nice chorus though. 5 p Differences When I first heard the live version from the nobel concert in Oslo 2002 I was sceptical. Was this the sound from the new album? The song felt pretentios and slow, but to my surprise it grew on me, and when the studio edit came as the b-side to "Forever not yours" I was very happy. That version feels more complete and completed the song nicely. But still, a bit slow and it doesn't contain any highlights in it. But then again, it was made to honor the victims in the Afghanistan war... 6 p |
