(7:00am)

No beach walk this morning. Getting ready to start on flooring...

(10:30am) urethane glue is the slimiest, stickiest, gooiest mess I have ever dealt with. It's all over my tools, my hands, my feet, the floor, my hair, everywhere..... SSSSSSShhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!

Where's the PERGO?????

(2pm) Almost 2 cartons laid (75 sq ft) Guess I got too upset, as I have run "P" & "J" away from home. Either I'm catching on to the routine of laying the Bruce or the fumes from the glue are getting to me, for I have settled down considerably. It's still a pain, but if anyone sees "P" & "J" tell them it's OK to come back home...

(8pm) Whew... 10% of 1200 sq ft laid. Still a pain, but "P" has faith and says it will be beautiful when I'm finished. If I could only get "J" to spread the glue for me things would go faster. "P" helped by cutting pieces of blue painters tape for me. They hold the strip flooring together until the glue sets... (yeah right!) I guess the first paragraph of the manufacturers instructions are the perfect disclaimer, "This flooring is a product of natural materials and therefore not perfect." I told "P" I was natural too and also not perfect!

I did however reach my projected goal and get the living room started at the foyer and extended a 3' wide run through the kitchen to the outside wall. Looks like the kitchen will be out for a couple of days.

"P" & "J" treated tonight to Carolina BBQ. They wanted me to go out with them but I was just too pooped to shave! The pork BBQ they brought me was yummy and as good as we used to make up in Unionville. Mmmm!

No beach walk this evening, but the coffee's on!
