Up at 6am and off to the beach. Storm clouds with thunder loom off the coast. The Sun finally rose out of the clouds around 7. Skies are mostly cloudy and there is a stiff breeze blowing.  Coffee brewing now...

Started laying tile at 9am. Finished the Carolina Room around 2pm. Cleaned up my tools and thought about going to the beach, but the radar showed a storm brewing just off the coast. At 3pm, "J" persuaded me to go ahead and start prepping the laundry room for tile. We cleared out the closet floor and moved the washer and dryer to the garage. Next I removed the shoe molding and ripped the vinyl flooring up. Luckily the vinyl was only glued around the edges. "P" and I laid out the lines for the tile, taking into consideration the special circumstances of the room; angled wall and trying to stay centered, without compromising the balance of the room.

By 6:15 I had all the whole tiles laid, cleaned up the tools and gotten my shower. "P" prepared a wonderful dinner of chopped sirloin loaf, mixed sugar snap - baby peas, and whipped potatoes. After dinner I took an evening walk on the beach. The storm had moved out to sea, bringing winds ashore that felt like a Winter Nor'easter. Sea foam was blowing in the wind, coating the wet sand like meringue on a lemon pie. The few birds I saw where walking, none flew!

One-handed push-ups are required to work out the bulges!
