12/17/00 Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL "The Paisano" John Balsamo was awarded the NWL Cruiserweight Title after Hyjinx cancelled out of his title match with Balsamo. Hyjinx stated he was not prepared for such a battle.
12/09/00 Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL "The Paisano" John Balsamo vs. The Freak: Balsamo pummeled his small sized opponent and put him out of his misery by making him tap out to the Boston Crab at 5:22.
11/11/00 Wind Gap, Pa PCW John "The Paisano" Balsamo (Commonwealth Champion) vs. "Doomsday" Danny Rose [Title Match]: Danny degraded the crowd and Balsamo on the mike. Balsamo came at him like a house on fire and shot him off but was reversed into the ropes. Balsamo caught his boot and spun him around to set up for a close line. Balsamo shot him off again but Danny caught John's boot. When he spun John around Balsamo leveled him again with a closeline. Danny ducked a closeline and gave Balsamo a release belly to back suplex. The advantage switched back and forth until Danny hit his DVD finisher. He then wasted time yelling at the crowd and made a lazy cover that Balsamo kicked out of. Balsamo then hit a low blow and exicuted a quick small package for the win. Balsamo retained his Commonwealth Title.
11/10/00 Hamburg, Pa PCW John "The Paisano" Balsamo with Sweetheart Vinnie Biondo vs. Mr. Ooh La La w/ ES Easton (Commonwealth Champion) [Title Match]: ES and Mr. Ooh La La grabbed the mike and spoke how they blinded Balsamo twice with the cigar and they were going to do it again that night. Balsamo came out wearing an eye patch and had an early lead on Mr. Ooh La La but was cut off after exicuting a small flurry of moves due to the visual handycap. Mr. Ooh La La began an onslaught of cheap shots on John until HOSS got on the aprin. When he whipped Balsamo into HOSS, John reversed it. ES came in behind Balsamo with the cigar but Balsamo ripped off the eye patch to reveal he was faking his injury and shoved the cigar in ES' eye. Balsamo then turned the distracted Ooh La La around and hit him with the spinebuster Paisano crab for the victory. Thus he became the Commonwealth Champion for the second time.
10/26/00 Pottstown, Pa PCW John "The Paisano" Balsamo vs. Doomsday Danny Rose: Tough match for both competitors. Balsamo was too quick for Danny in the beginning of the match. After a flurry of moves by Balsamo, Danny ducked a closeline and exicuted a powerful release belly to back suplex. Danny hit some
high impact moves until Balsamo had two close pinfalls from a small package and school boy roll up. When Balsamo did a backflip out of a hip toss, Doomsday surprised John by hitting a textbook perfect Death Valley Driver for the win.
10/25/00 - Leesport, Pa PCW John "The Paisano" Balsamo (Commonwealth Champion)w/ Vinnie Biondo vs. Mr. Ooh La La w/ ES Easton [Title Match]: Balsamo took early control of the match and executed a spine buster/ Paisano Crab combination.
After Balsamo continued with some more momentum in the match the Frenchman played possum when Balsamo went for an elbow drop and moved out of the way. He began an assault on John of various sneaky maneuvers. Balsamo soon moved out of the way of Ooh La La when he was whipped and hit him with an elbow and a drop
kick from the second rope. When Balsamo was on the top rope ES shook the rope so Balsamo was hit with a low blow from the top rope. ES then shoved a cigar in John's eye. Mr. Ooh La La took advantage of the situation and used a Russian Leg Sweep to gain the victory and win the Commonwealth Title.
10/14/00 Penn State University NWF John "The Paisano" Balsamo vs. Onyx: Balsamo won by pinfall after the tag team Mind and Matter flattened Onyx while Supa Sausage (Dino Margiata) distracted the referee.
Penn State University NWF John "The Paisano" Balsamo vs. Kid Crazy [Rutgers Pledge Match: Winner joins the Revolution] : Kid Crazy was too fast for Balsamo in the opening part of the match but Balsamo soon overpowered him and began to destroy him with a series of powerful moves. While setting Kid Crazy up for a superplex from the top rope, Kid Crazy reversed the situation and gave John an acid drop ddt. Balsamo bailed out. When Kid Crazy was suplexing John into the ring, Fumar tripped the Kid and held his feet to allow Balsamo to win by pinfall.
9/28/00 - Reading Fairgrounds Square Mall Reading, PA PCW John "The Paisano" Balsamo (Commonwealth Champion) w/ Vinnie Biondo vs. Mr. Ooh La La [Non-title match]: Balsamo controled of the match but Mr. Ooh La La turned the tables when he held on the ropes when John went for a monkey flip. When Balsamo regained control of the match he applied the spinebuster boston crab combination. Jud "The Stud" distracted the referee. When Balsamo broke the hold and tried to get the ref's attention, Mr. Ooh La La hit a schoolboy roll up and pulled John's tights to get the pinfall.
9/20/00 - Leesport, Pa PCW John "The Paisano" Balsamo (Commonwealth Champion) w/ Vinnie Biondo vs. Mr. Ooh La La w/ ES Easton: Balsamo had and early lead on Mr. Ooh La La but was tripped when he hit the ropes. Oh La La controled Balsamo until John ducked his closeline and hit him with the spinebuster/ Paisano Crab combination. While Mr. Ooh La La was tapping out the referee was distracted. ES came in and shoved a cigar in Balsamo's eye. Mr. Ooh La La was about to hit Balsamo with a briefcase and Benny came in, took the briefcase, hit Mr. Ooh La La, and put the injured Balsamo on top of his unconsious opponent. Balsamo won by pinfall and retained his title.
9/7/00 - Reading Fairgrounds Square Mall Reading, PA PCW John "The Paisano" Balsamo (Commonwealth Champion) w/ Vinnie Biondo vs. Fast Eddie Valentine [Non-title match]: Balsamo reversed every move Eddie attempted in the beginning of the match and attempted a early win by trying to put Eddie in the Boston Crab. When Balsamo attempted a cross body from the top rop, Eddie hit the ropes and John took a low blow from the top rope. Fast Eddie took advantage of this situation and defeated John with an Impaler DDT from the top rope to advance to the finals of the KoPCW Tournament.
8/30/00 - Leesport, PA PCW John "The Paisano" Balsamo w/ Vinnie Biondo (RIP) vs. Fast Eddie Valentine (PCW Commonwealth Champion) [Title Match]: There was a ton of action and some of the biggest news involves the New PCW Commonwealth Champion. His name is John Balsamo and he won the title in spectacular fashion by forcing former champion Fast Eddie Valentine to submit via a Boston Crab in the center of the ring. Eddie originally injured his back after being back dropped over the top rope. Balsamo focused all his energy on attacking his back area through the use of chairs hits and a variety of slams. While Eddie was attempting to exicute his "Big Hustle" finisher, his back gave out. Balsamo took advantage and applied the Boston Crab for the win. As Balsamo acknowledged the enthusiastic cheers of the crowd, Valentine laid in agony on the canvas and had to be helped to the back locker room area by the doctor in attendance. Valentine suffered bruised ribs, a serious back injury and other complications. His exact status is unknown as he was taken to the hospital for treatment after the show.
8/11/00 - Reading Fair, PA PCW John "The Paisano" Balsamo w/ Vinnie Biondo (RIP) vs. Fumar: Fumar attacted Balsamo right from the bell. Balsamo was able to get some come backs but was cut off each time by Fumar. Fumar could have finished the match when gave Balsamo a double leg drop from the top rope, but he only gave a light cover. Balsamo was able to hit a tilt-a-whirl head sizzors and then exicute a high impact german suplex. After the dazed Fumar stood up Balsamo hit a modified frankenpaisano for the win.

6/28/00 - Hopatcong H.S., New Jersey ECPW John Anthony Balsamo vs. "Sure Thing" Ryan Wing (ECPW Cruiserweight Champion) [Cruiserweight Title Match]: Balsamo out muscled his opponent in the beginning of the match. This forced the champion to rake Balsamo's eyes to gain control of the match. Balsamo made a few comebacks only to be cut off by the champion. After Balsamo was able to exicute a closeline, bodyslam, and powerslam he attempted a belly to belly from the top rope. Ryan clapped his ears and hit a spinebuster from the second rope and got the pin by putting his feet on the bottom rope.
6/17/00 - Hamburg, Pa PCW John "The Paisano" Balsamo w/ Vinnie Biondo (The Real Italian Paisanos) vs. Slade (Ryan Harman): The match was very high paced, beginning with a set of arm drags from Balsamo, Slade continued to fight back though and landed a Northern Lights release suplex. The crowd was very impressed with this new "Canadian Sensation" to say the least. Balsamo still put the pressure on, hitting Slade with a flying clothesline from the second turnbuckle. Balsamo then calls for the piledriver, but is unable to get him up. Slade then sees the opening and lands a russian leg sweep. He then lands a sidewalk slam and continues to work on Balsamo's back. Slade then climbed the ropes and attempted a cross body, which Balsamo reversed, using the momentum to his advantage, and got the pin on Slade. (Balsamo defeated Slade via pin after a reversed cross body.) Pictures
