5/26/99 - Lake Hiawatha, NJ ECPW "The Shooter" John Balsamo (NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Kodiac Bear: Balsamo was able to outrun the Bear but got cut off when he tried a body slam. The Bear tossed around Balsamo until he was able to exicute a huna conrada on the 350lb. monster. Bear reversed Balsamo's second huna conrada and finished him off with the Bear Trap.
5/25/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo(NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. OGB vs. Chuckie Manson [Triple threat title match]: A wild match with lots of covers and reversals. OGB almost took out Chuckie with a sleeper but was knocked sensless from a jawbreaker. When OGB got to his feet Balsamo hit a cross body tackle from the top rope and got the pin at 13:57.
5/22/99 - Hazleton, PA Top Rope/ WXW �The Shooter� John Balsamo(NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Kale {WXW Cruiserweight Champion} [WXW Cruiserweight Title Match]: Fast paced high flying match where both wrestlers had the audience on their feet. Tommy Suede interfered in the match by first hitting Balsamo and Kale with a chair. No Contest. Next match at Hazleton will have a triple threat match between "The Shooter" vs. Kale vs. Tommy Suede.
5/18/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo(NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Gutterboy [Non-Title Match]. Balsamo had an early advantage on Gutterboy but lost it after missing a high-cross-body-ride from the top rope. Gutterboy reversed Balsamo's sunset flip and illegally held the tights to get the pin at 5:29.
5/13/99 - Ft. Detrick - Frederick, MD - HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo(NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Chuckie Manson [Title Match]: Balsamo hit Manson with a Thesz Press off the top rope to get the pin at 11:54. Balsamo retains the NWL cruiserweight title.
5/11/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo(NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Jerkface [Parking Lot Title Match]. John Balsamo put Jerkface to sleep in the garbage dumpster at 14:12 to get the win and remain the NWL cruiserweight champion. This was a well fought hardcore battle.
5/08/99 - Hazleton, PA Top Rope/ WXW �The Shooter� John Balsamo(NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Smooth Tommy Suede [Winner meets the WXW Cruiserweight Champ at the next match]. Balsamo out wrestled his opponent for the entire match. After Balsamo kicked out of Tommy's despiration move of a northern-light-suplex, Balsamo ducked his closeline and finished him off with a powerful german-suplex. Balsamo will meet Kale on 5/22/99 for the WXW Cruiserweight Title.
5/06/99 - Extremes Nightclub Waynesboro, PA HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo (Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Ramblin' Rich [Title Match]. Ramblin' Rich went for the pin by putting his feet on the ropes but Referee Mike DiMuzio noticed before the 3 count. DiMuzio told Rich to continue the match and when Rich turned around Balsamo caught him with a crossbody tackle off the top ropes for the pin. John Balsamo retained the NWL cruiserweight title.
5/04/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo(NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Jerkface [Title Match]. Both wrestlers were counted out of the ring at 12:39. A return "parking lot pinfalls anywhere" NWL cruiserweight title match has been set for next Tuesday, 5-11-99.
4/27/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo(NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Jerkface vs. Carnage. Carnage got DQed at 7:17 for hitting referee Mike DiMuzio. Balsamo pinned himself when he gave Jerkface a belly to back suplex and Jerkface lifted his shoulder before the three count. Jerkface demanded an NWL cruiserweight title match for next Tuesday, 5-4-99. John Balsamo accepted the challenge and will defend the NWL cruiserweight title next week against Jerkface.
4/22/99 - Extremes Nightclub Waynesboro, PA HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo (NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Fumar [Title Match]. This was an exciting cruiserweight match-up. Both wrestlers were very aggressive during the entire match. Fumar was DQed at 11:43 for using chain on Balsamo. John Balsamo was the winner of the match and retained the NWL cruiserweight title.
4/20/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo (NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Malcolm Y. Balsamo hit the spinebuster and than pinned Malcolm Y at 10:55 after executing a cross body tackle from the top rope.
4/17/99 - Hazleton, PA Top Rope/ WXW �The Shooter� John Balsamo(NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Kale {WXW Cruiserweight Champion} [WXW Cruiserweight Title Match]: Balsamo matched up very well with Kale. The match ended in a time limit draw.
4/13/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo (NWL Cruiserweight Champion) vs. Arnold Palmmer [Non-Title Match]. Balsamo got the pin on Palmmer at 11:52 following a cross body tackle off the top rope.
4/08/99 - Extremes Nightclub Waynesboro, PA HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Aidiean. John Balsamo used a sharpshooter on Aidiean to make him submit at 13:29. John Balsamo is the new NWL Cruiserweight Champion.
4/06/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Ivan Peitrov. Balsamo got the pin on Peitrov at 9:19 with a cross body tackle off the top rope.
4/02/99 - Wharton, NJ ECPW �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. The Pub Bully. The Pub Bully dominated most of the match. After hitting Balsamo with three finishing holds the Pub Bully layed down on Balsamo. Balsamo reversed the Bully's hold and got the pin.
3/30/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Gutterboy (Semi-final round of cruiserweight title tournament). Balsamo pinned Gutterboy at 7:49 following a backward roll-up off the ropes. Balsamo advances to the finals for the NWL cruiserweight title match at Extreme's Night Club April 8th, 1999.
3/30/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Chuckie Manson (1rst round of cruiserweight title tournament). Balsamo pinned Manson at 6:31 with a cross body tackle off the top rope.
3/25/99 - Extremes Nightclub Waynesboro, PA HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Eddie Vetter. Balsamo was able to control the match until Vetter hit him with some cheap shots. Vetter used an object on Balsamo to get the pin at 11:29, but the referee reversed the decision after searching Eddie and finding a pair of brass knuckles.
3/20/99 - Southern Garret H.S. Oakland, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Jersey Devil (Cruiserweight Title Match) Exciting fast paced match for the first ten minutes of the match. Dylan tripped Balsamo allowing the Devil to use his Demon Suplex finish to get the pin at 10:39. NJ Devil retains his NWL cruiserweight title.
3/16/99 � Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo & Aidiean vs. Steve Hill and Master of Disaster. Balsamo and Aidiean were able to work well together against their larger opponents through the match. While the referee's back was turned, Katravina accidentally hit MoD with a steel chair and Aidiean got the pin at 12:39.
3/13/99 - Hazleton, PA Top Rope/ WXW �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Kale (Cruiserweight Title Match): Both opponents were able to pummel the other with many hard hitting moves. Highlights were when Balsamo hit a beautiful Huna Canrada and when Kale was able to exicute a breath taking tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Kale gained the victory by hitting Balsamo with his powerbomb roll.
3/11/99 - Extremes Nightclub Waynesboro, PA HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Kurt Keizer: Balsamo was able to outwrestle Keizer for the first few minutes of the match. Kurt was able to take over on offence after hitting some low hits to the gut. When ever Balsamo tried to make a come back Kurt's manager Chuckie Manson interfered. Balsamo finally ducked a closeline and hit a flying crossbody tackle off the ropes and secured a pin victory. Chuckie Manson than came in and attacked Balsamo. When Balsamo was able to recover he challanged Chuckie to a match and he accepted.
3/09/99 � Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Jerkface (Return Match): Balsamo had the advantage in the match right from the opening bell. Jerkface cut off Balsamo's offence with a jawbreaker. When attempting a suplex from the top rope, Balsamo pushed him down. When Jerkface got to his feet, Balsamo hit Jerkface with a cross body tackle from the top rope and pinned him for the win.
3/02/99 � Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Jerkface: Balsamo had an early advantage in the match and almost won with a boston crab. Jerkface took control of the match after executing a punch below the belt. His control of the match ended when he turned his back, this gave Balsamo the chance to get the pin with a schoolboy roll up.
2/27/99 � Rockaway, NJ ECPW �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Executioner #2: Balsamo was able to control the larger wrestler with a series of armlocks and dropkicks. The Executioner was able stop Balsamo�s momentum and take control of the match for about eight minutes. The Executioner used a foreign object to knock out Balsamo and get the pin. The decision was reversed when the referee raised the Executioner�s arm and the roll of quarters fell to the ring floor.
2/23/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Jersey Devil (Ladder Match/ NWL & HoPWF title match): Both wrestlers used the ladder more as a weapon than an object to climb on. The NJ Devil got the belt down at 14:55 after Dylan Dean pushed Balsamo off the top of the ladder. This was an excellent hardcore match and the first ever ladder match at the HoPWF matches. NJ Devil retained both the NWL and HoPWF cruiserweight titles.
2/20/99 - Hazleton, PA Top Rope/ WXW �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Nemesis: Balsamo totally dominated the match and made Nemesis submit to a boston crab.
2/16/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Aidiean: Both competitors had equal advantage time for the first ten minutes. The Jersey Devil interfered in the match by tripping Balsamo. When Balsamo turned his back to confront the Devil, Aidiean took control of the situation and got the pin with a schoolboy roll up.
2/09/99 - Hagerstown, MD HoPWF/ NWL �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Fast Eddie Valentine with Fantasia: Balsamo had control of the match until Fast Eddie hit a punch below the belt. Fast Eddie took this opportunity to hit a series of hard-hitting moves. Fast Eddie tried to finish the match with his manager�s help but this backfired when Fantasia accidentally hit Fast Eddie. Balsamo took this opportunity to roll up his opponent for the pin.
1/30/99 - Hazleton, PA Top Rope/ WXW �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. Kale (2nd Round of the Cruiserweight tournament): The advantage time was divided equally between both competitors. While Balsamo was suplexing Kale, Dylan Dean and the Jersey Devil tripped Balsamo and held his feet causing Kale to get the pin.
1/09/99 - Hazleton, PA Top Rope/ WXW �The Shooter� John Balsamo vs. The Silver Shadow (1st Round of the Cruiserweight tournament): The silver shadow was able to hit a series of moves against Balsamo at the beginning of the match but his offence was cut short once Balsamo got a hold of him. Balsamo was able to control the rest of this match and finished him off with a half-nelson crossface submission.
