John continued to study music and the arts in high school.   He starred in many musicals, formed his own rock band where he learned to play the guitar and bass, and played lead trumpet in the concert and marching bands.  At this point, John was anxious to apply what he was learning in his music studies; so, with his first four-track recorder, he began writing his own songs.

John Pachence has been performing since the age of five. He started playing the piano and singing for various social events in his community.  He was a novelty act -- the little boy with the big voice!  At the age of nine he got his first big break.  An appearance at a local talent contest caught the eye (and ear) of a New York talent agent.  Within days John was signed to a multi-year deal.  The result of this relationship was John's appearance in over 20 nationally aired commercials, Broadway shows and the CBS Crystal Gayle Special.

John attended Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where he graduated with a BA in Economics with minors in music and communications. While at Lehigh he played lead trumpet in the University's marching band and was the solo vocalist and pianist for the Lehigh University Jazz Ensemble; a 21-piece big band that toured throughout the United States and Canada.  His music education includes course work in composing, arranging, conducting and theory with studio work in production, engineering and electronic music.

At Lehigh, when John wasn't studying or performing, you could find him holed-up in his room working on his own songs.  He always managed to find time for his weekly pilgrimage to one of the city's coffeehouses to try out his latest tunes.  Some of which became staples on the college radio station's play list.

At 33, music is central in John Pachence's life.  He writes and records by day, and performs five nights per week throughout the Pocono Mountains, Philadelphia and the New Jersey Shore.  John has opened for such national acts as the Beach Boys, Bob Seger, Warren Zevon, the Hooters, the Subdudes, the Rembrants and Eric Burden.  He is a member in good standing of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).

John has been writing and recording in Nashville, Tennessee for the last several years.  In November, his hard work finally paid off.  Country superstar, Garth Brooks purchased one of John’s compositions.  He has since signed a publishing agreement with Major Bob Music (Garth Brooks’ publishing company.)

John also recently received a National Cable Award for a song he composed for the Philadelphia Phillies AAA baseball team.  John wrote the music and lyrics, played, sang and produced the track, and even starred in the video.
