Season 2001/02 Ticket Prices
DONS ANNOUNCE PRICES FOR NEXT SEASON

Aberdeen F.C. today announced that season ticket prices will increase by around
10% for the new season, with the Club confident that it can repeat the record
numbers achieved this season.

Commenting on the new packages, Pittodrie Sales & Marketing Manager Harvey Smith
said, "Our season ticket holders currently number 8,250, which is our highest
ever, and I believe that was mainly due to a couple of factors. Firstly, our
'pester power' campaign which was responsible for attracting 2,668 new season
ticket holders, 1400 of who were youngsters, and secondly the chance to see
live, affordable football. While we have taken those points on board again, this
year, I believe, we are offering even better value next season.

These include the widening of the gap between the value of a season ticket and
the cost of turnstile prices, with savings of up to 49% over walk-in prices. In
addition, season ticket holders can take advantage of the following:-

*'Early Bird' discount if they purchase by Saturday 16th June 2001.
*Loyalty discounts for existing season ticket holders.
*Admission to cup games at prices one grade below non-season ticket holders.
*Voucher book offering discounts of up to hundreds of pounds at outlets
throughout the North East.
*An interest free three month Direct Debit payment plan to spread the cost.

As Harvey outlines, there are substantial savings to be made, irrespective of
age and where in the stadium you wish to be seated, "Under 12's in the Family
Stand renewing by the 16th June will pay 17, that's 90 pence per game! An adult
in the Richard Donald Stand Upper can watch his football for 10.60 a match,
equating to 200 for the season compared to a walk-in price of 339. And despite
the fact we have had to increase prices in the region of 10% on the current
season, we still offer what are among the most competitive packages in the SPL."

Turnstile prices will also rise by 3 in the case of Grade 'A' games and 2 for
Grade 'B' matches, with concessions also going up by 2. Again, as Harvey
confirms, these compare favourably with other Clubs in the top flight, "The
walk-in prices throughout Pittodrie Stadium remain among the best value in the
SPL and again we will be offering a pound reduction if supporters purchase their
tickets prior to the day of the game. The pricing structure has also been
simplified in response to feedback from fans and there will be no Grade 'D'
games next season, with Grade 'C' being used for season ticket holders if we
have a Grade 'B' cup match."

Although the Club is not setting any targets in terms of numbers for the
forthcoming season, Harvey will be disappointed and surprised if the current
season's numbers are not repeated, "There is a lot to be positive about. We are
building a young team for the future and since the turn of the year our form has
shown a marked improvement. That is something we want to see continue but in
order to do so, we must attract the greatest income possible from both season
ticket holders and those who choose, for whatever reason, to pay on the day. To
achieve that, we must make the packages attractive and that is what I believe we
have done."

Jack Douglas, Chairman of the Association of Supporters Clubs, believes his
members will be pleasantly surprised at the new prices, "The Club did consult
with us when they were formulating their pricing structure and we did express
our concerns as to supporter reaction if there was too much of an increase.
However, approximately 10% across the board seems acceptable and hopefully the
fans will get right behind Ebbe and the team by purchasing season tickets in
healthy numbers."

Season tickets for 2001-2 will be on sale from Monday 30th April, with existing
season ticket holders receiving full details of the new packages in the post
early next week.
