They all knew that Lady Lisa was getting better but still the waiting for her to wake up was what became unbearable for most.  Kevin was about to go out of his mind with grief and track down Beth to do something-what-he couldn’t say.  All of the pets were in uproar over their beloved owner and leader was still asleep what most feel was still a coma.  Much to the chagrin of Nurse Leighanne and Dr. Brooks who felt that the herbs given should have brought her out of the coma and into wakefulness.  The most puzzling thing was that Tech Amanda Latona was positive that those were the correct herbs.

De and Nick were still comforting each other along with young!Aaron and such.  De was being a great friend in running the country making sure that the proper pets were bred to the proper females and such.  Even Aaron was starting to help out more, taking on more responsibilities than he is technically aloud to at 16.  Nick was making sure that Kevin, Alex, Howie, and Brian were still doing their proper duties as well as himself.  Of course through the grief he found out that the library never would be as clean or organized like this time.

 

Aaron has taken on the responsibility of keeping his mother and sisters from letting the anger and grief over take them.  Even Denise was being of great help in the fight against the Opaenheimers.  De was the one who figured out that Beth would not be allowed to carry the child of a pet of noble birth.  Therefore she would be punished and of course of the council rules that the baby be carried to term to check for a match and once a match was made the baby would either be given to adoption if the match is to one of noble birth but if not then Beth will be allowed to keep the child but her and the child would be forbidden from returning to certain lands.  Aaron was hoping for the latter and not be a father as such a young age.  Of course when asked to give up a sample he was glad to do so.  He would also be appearing in front of the council but only after Lady Lisa was awake of a greater strength.

Lady Lisa was slowly coming out of her dreamlike state and opened her eyes to see a pair of shiny blue and nut brown.

 

“Aaron and Nick…” Lisa took a moment to wet her throat again, “What are you doing here?”

“I came as soon as I heard and then something terrible has happened.”  Aaron put his head down in shame.

Lisa motioned for both Aaron and Nick to come and sit or lay beside her.  Aaron lay down with his head on her bosom and Nick just sat on the other side.  “Now Aaron tell me all about this terrible thing that has happened.”

 

As Aaron recounted the Beth incident and running to De and having been told that Beth is actually a cousin and that if for some reason the baby was his that consequences would be rendered and carried out, Lisa ran her fingers through the trademark Carter blonde hair.  Slowly she carded her fingers through the soft hair while Nick stroked her other hand causing both her and Aaron to fall asleep on the bed together much like times when all were younger and curled up in bed with Jane and Bob.

Kevin and all other pets were at once informed of Lady Lisa’s awakening and were not to be disturbed for she was with her brothers at this time and had fallen back asleep again.  Nick was the one to tell De about his older sister being awake and talking for a short while.  He also informed De that Aaron had told her about Beth and the possibility of her having his child.  De just smiled and curled up with her love and new pet Nickolas.

Denise and Jane were happy with the news and told all the land that Lisa was awake but has fallen asleep again.

 

Jane peaked into her baby’s room to see two of her favorite children curled up around each other much like they were little children again. She walked over and got Aaron under the covers and gave them both a kiss on the forehead.

 

She also said a small rhyme to them that she always said when she would put them to bed.  She smiled knowing that her family was healthy and happy again.  Now the proceedings of the Bonding ceremonies of her two eldest will be once again commence.
