Jane nodded in understanding even though what was being told to her was bringing tears to her eyes.  Dr. Brooks explained everything he found in almost intimate detail and in such a way as to make it understandable by the lay person. Jane nodded again and told her thanks to the dr.

 

“Hey baby.” Jane smiled as her daughter’s blue eyes opened to show the sky immersed in their depths.

“Hi…” Lisa stopped to clear her throat, “mom.”

“Hi sweetie, you feeling better,” Jane asked

“I guess….what happened.” Lisa had to ask because the last thing she remembered was walking out of the garden and then darkness.

“You fainted and Alex brought you here.  He then came and got Kevin and myself. 

All of your pets haven’t left till just now.  I told them to go back to the house and get some rest.  I hope that was ok?”
”That was fine mom.  But why did I faint.”
”Oh, baby I have some very bad news.  It seems you are pregnant but the baby is poisoning your system.” Jane was in tears now thinking how her unborn grandchild could be responsible for this.

“I’m pregnant.  I’m gonna be a mom just like you.” Lisa’s face lit up with excitement over the prospect.
”Yeah, well an abortion is best right now.  That way you can get all better and be married and then start having babies.” Jane tried to hide the hurt in her voice and face.

“An abortion, why?” Lisa questioned

“Yes, it’s the only way you will survive.  If you try to carry this child to term you might not survive the birth.” Jane’s voice started to show signs of worry.
”Have you talked to Kevin about this?”
”Not yet, he should be coming back.  Oh, he is going to be so happy to see that you’re awake.  He was so worried and I am so glad that you chose him to be your life mate and not one of the others.  Not that they won’t make someone very happy but Kevin is just such a dear.”

“Thanks mother.” Lisa muttered under her breath.  Her mom kept up the chit chat right up till Kevin came back.  He was filled in on all that Lisa had been told and much to Lisa’s dismay agreed with her mother.

 

“You agree….why?”
”Because I love you with all my heart and soul and want you around forever and to be healthy.”

 

 

A week later Lady Lisa had the abortion and was back in her bed with her pets to spoil her.  She has yet to talk to De about this even though she very much wants to.  For some odd reason she had been held captive by Justin who had recruited a few other lesser pets in his scheme to keep her away from her life mate, Nick.  For now Nick was all about pampering his older sister till he was screamed away.
