Who Am I?
This is a question everyone asks themselves at least once in their life, very seriously. I have been going down that path over the past year or two as well.
On November 16th, 2000, I turned 30! Holy Crap! I can remember when I was about 16 years old, I used to think I that I would look like a "MAN" when I turned 30. You know, like Clint Eastwood, or Rocky, or something like that, not like the idiot at the top of this page!
I don't think I look like a "MAN" now. I still have people tell me I look around 26 or so and I am going to hold on to that one for another 20 years or so. ;)
Where Do I Fit In?
I am a part of this eco-system, and social structure. Our social structure is unfortunately one where there are those who tell people what to do, those who do as they are told, and those who rebel against either of the two.
I have realised after working full time since 1987, in different job positions, interacting with many different people, either at work, or play, that I am the type of person who does as he is told best.
I have tried to run my own business before, but I am just not pushy enough to actually try to convince someone why they would benefit from my services. I feel if they need my services, they will ask for them. How is that for a sucessful marketing plan?
As for my personal life, I am pretty well the same way. I avoid conflict at all cost, I generally keep to myself , I will talk to almost anyone of any social background, ethnicity, religion creed, sexual orientation or status in life.
I am approachable, even if I do not look that way at times... but if I ever do look unaproachable, it is only temporary, and a nice loud "Hey Man!" my way will always be returned with a smile, a wave, and a big "Hey Man!" right back at ya!
Sounds pathetic, but hey, could you imagine if the whole world were like this. Talk about a friendly war-free planet. I feel we should just let people do as they wish, accept them for who they are, and let them be.
We should be able to walk up to people on the street and just say hello without them looking at you like you just proposed to rob them and stuff them into a garbage compactor.
I am not university educated, but that is not always necessary. I know people who do not even have their grade 12, and could blow the pants off any tech-support person in North America (Including Gates)
