Pearl Jam

Here is the official homepage to Pearl Jam .

Pearl Jam formed when Mother Love Bone, a local glam-grunge band, disbanded because their lead singer overdosed. Pearl Jam then rose to become the most popular band of the 90's. Pearl Jam consists of lead singer Eddie Vedder, lead guitarist Mike McCready, rhythm guitarist Stone Gossard, bassist Jeff Ament, and drummer Matt Cameron. They have made dozens of albums, all unique and different. They are true to their fans and always release live albums. They have 100+ live albums that have been released in the past 6 years. They are truly a busy band and NEVER do they sell out to the music industry. Eddie Vedder has had active political views towards such subjects as women's rights. If he isn't protesting for what he believes in, he is writing about it in his music. His lyrics often contain messages about morals or values, and sometimes take a narrative stance. His songs and both introspective and beautiful, with great lyrics and a sound that has been mimicked by more singers than other other singer has experienced. They are the only remaining grunge band, and have had a long, drug free and illustrious career. Their influence is incomprehensible and they are greatly respected and admired from every corner of the globe. No band is bootlegged more than Pearl Jam. A list of their albums (not including their many live albums from tours in the U.S. and Europe) is as follows:

Their album Ten, candidate for best album of all time, went multi platinum and eventually overtook Nirvana's Nevermind in sales. The fact that they are the last remaining grunge band and that their songs appeal to a wide variety of ages means that they are the greatest band ever.

In conclusion, although grunge has faded away, it was still the most popular style of music during the 90's and it will live on in our hearts forever as great music.
