This page is a long time waiting. It started as a study of the Star Wars soundtracks through Episode One for a senior web page class in college. I am a huge Star Wars fan and, as such, I have grown up with these scores and themes in my head. It was not until I dove into this project, however, that I realized the true genius that Williams exhibits in his scores; why it is that a theme gets used here instead of there and what great lengths the composer would go through to underline a story. I was amazed as I explored the scores to one of the most followed stories in film history. Never in my youthful days of wishing I could be Luke Skywalker had I known there was a distinct theme for his character; never in my youthful days of conducting the "Throne Room March" had I known that the music was an homage to the fallen Obi-wan.

So, alas, my journey continues through what I hope to be an equally exhausting undertaking, bringing new insights to the stories I already know and love. Up next, I plan to have the entire Indiana Jones trilogy documented by leitmotif and theme in time to concentrate on what Mr. Williams has in store for us in number four! Then, I'd love to look at Hook, another Spielberg film of yesteryear, full of Williams's exciting themes. In the distant future, I hope to go back and tackle more of the masterpieces from the middle of his career such as E.T. and Jaws, and, if I can find it, Sugarland Express. I have no idea what this film is about, but it is Spielberg's first motion picture production and the inaugural cooperation of film's finest collaborative team: Spielberg and Williams.

I hope these pages find you interested...they have been more than such to me over the past year. I dedicate them to my good friend and movie fanatic brother, who will be known here as "Greedo", who if it were not for his loyal patronage of the theatric arts, I would never have gained the interest.
