| July 2, 2006 - My Scottish blowjob |
| Dear Friends, I bet the title of this entry grabbed your attention! But let me hasten to assure you that there was nothing salacious about my Scottish blowjob last week in Bonnie Edinburgh. I'm simply referring to the rather violent handdryers in the restrooms there. They are positively vicious! They dry your hands not so much with hot air, but by blowing so forcefully that the water is pushed off your skin and goes flying in every conceivable direction. And if you accidentally cup your hands, the air blows right into your face. And they're really loud; they sound like a train coming through. Anyway, as you can see, I'm back in the Big City now where I'm still trying to get used to being home again. I was full of plans to resume my routine of working out, bike riding, etc., but somehow just haven't been able to get off my lazy ass to do anything. Yesterday I tried to go to Pilates, but I was so hungry that I felt like I was going to vomit. So I went to eat a bagel with egg, cheese, and bacon on it. I just hope I'll make it to yoga today. I can tell I gained weight in Scotland, but I really needed the vacation. And what is a vacation if one doesn't eat, drink, and be merrie? I did have a groovy time though. My first night there Laura took me to a Swedish midsummer's party at her friend Ingrid's house. We had Swedish meatballs and a lovely drink made of Pimm's, lemonade, mint, cucumber, and strawberries. And the wine was flowing like the Firth of Forth. The next night Laura was having dinner out with her family, so her friend Morris met me for drinks and we partied until Laura was able to join us. Then Sunday I helped Laura pick up a few items from her parents' house that she needed to take to London with her. Then we went back to her parents' house for an authentic English Sunday roast. It was yummy! After that a lot of what we did was a blur. One night at Laura's she and I watched "Austin Powers: The Spy who Shagged Me". At one point a song of the Monkees was playing and we were up shaking our booties like crazy, fully aware that all the neighbors across the street could see us should they decide to look out their windows. Another night we went for a deee-lish curry. And then on Tuesday we went to The Outsider where we met up with my friends who were visiting from the Colonies. Now since I've been back I've been checking my bank account regularly to see what charges have gone through. The Outsider charged me twice for the meal we had! My bank said I have to contact the restaurant and see if they'll drop the second charge. If they won't, then I have to fill out a dispute form. What a pain! I have The Outsider's phone number, but they don't have a webpage or email address, so I'm going to have to call them during their dinner hour. What a pain! Despite that minor glitch, I had a wonderful time. The weather was stunning as opposed to the Colonies, where I heard it rained tons. But then the moment I left Scotland, it started raining there. So see, dear Friends, I do make my own sunshine and if you were wise, you'd just follow me around to enjoy perpetually sunny weather. Next entry Previous entry Go to diary entries Go back home |
