Running away into the woods
I look back and it all looks the same
Where do I go now?
To the left it�s dark
Same with all the rest
I wake from my dream
I look into the ceiling
Thinking about the day to come
Rubbing my eyes I get off the bed
Now I�m falling from the sky
And into the ocean below
Where a whole New World is beneath the surface
I fall and fall and fall
Never coming to an end and in constant fear
Coming closer to the water
It�s coming closer to me and wham�
I wake up from my dream
I look into the ceiling
Confused about how I thought I had already woken
I get up from my bed and walk into the kitchen
Mother says �morning�
Father says �as well�
I walk into the den
Noticing outside there is something different
The clouds are red and the sky is white
Little people are running in circles together
Dogs are walking on two feet
Only one house
And it�s far away
The house comes closer
Or I come closer
I�m not even sure
Now everything is white
No trees, no ground, just white
The little people are still there and the dogs are still on theire feet
The house is still there and getting bigger
Or I�m getting smaller
The people tun into pigs and talk to me
�Turn around� they say
I turn and now riding in a blue car
Into a rock that�s getting bigger
Faster and faster and faster
I jump from the car�
I wake from my dream
But I�m in a raft
I sit up and find that I�m in the middle of the ocean
Alone
Unafraid
I jump into the water and swim beneath
Mother says �morning�
I say it back
�Where is father� I ask
She replies �with Greg"
I don�t know who Greg is
But I don�t ask
The flounder brings my breakfast
The crab wants to play
I say �later�
Everything is back to normal for once
Then the water dries up
And all is gone but mother and I
I eat a cracker and drink OJ
Where did I get them?
All I see is sand and desert animals
Mother is gone
Alone again
To the left I suddenly see children playing in the school playground
To the right�is the same
I walk ahead and it begins to snow
Trees and everything appear
Now in a neighborhood
The owl speaks to me and I remember my test that I have to study for.
I panic and run
I run behind the houses and fall into a pool
The icy water freezes me and I go under
I take my last look into the world as my eyes cross the waters edge�
