Driving Time

I'll bring that place we dreamed of last night
To a place only three hours away
Into the night with my car
And headlights that shine as far as the car will drive
That place will meet our expectations of great romance
And we just might take that chance to jump across lines with drinks in our hands and screwing our plans
With your eyes like magnets, your sweet blue eyes
We'll forget about normal curfew and we will leave home without saying goodbye, yes we will try
Try not to think about what we left
And we will try to keep finding new places in our dreams to bring to reality in the middle of the night
If it calls us, we will take a sail boat on dark oceans with light waves and our heavy gold hearts will be sold to the people to save their lives
We will use the money to buy someone a new house on an island and we will sell our hair to the birds to make their nest
The night that brought that dream of that place that I'm going to bring to you 3 hours away in the middle of the night will come as soon as you take my hand when I least expect it
And when I least expect it will be when I'm sleeping
And when I'm sleeping I hope it's with the lights off and the tv on mute laying on your floor
Wake me up and give me the keys and show me the car
Don't tell your mother goodbye, dont pack your clothes, don't fix your hair Just wake me up with the keys and know where the car is
Mexico will come after we pass through the states of good times
Middle the night will be our driving time
Just give me the keys and know where the car is.
