| Here is the FIRST picture of the project. By the time I had taken this picture, I had already done some of the hard work- like the frame, screen wire, mountain, and rock faces. I decided to use flour, salt and water (home made play-dough) to cover the original spacklle-soaked, recycled paper. This made for the right texture for the scebery. I chose to model the geographical scenery first- BEFORE the track plan was finalized. Did this make life a bit more challenging? Yes. Did I retain the "look"a little more? Yes. In the end, I did get what I wanted with both the scenery and the track plan. I did move the smaller hill on the lower right up and further to the right to accomodate the turnouts. |
