Update:

Army of the Dragon Reborn

-
The Aiel
-
Numbers: 440,000 spears, 4,400 Wise Ones (channelers).
Type: Infantry / Elite Forces.
Last Known Position: 6,000 near Caemlyn. More than 200,000 in the eastern Illian area. The rest is presumably in Cairhien. There is also an uknown number of spears still in the Aiel Waste.
Comments:
  • Rand had 300,000 spears before the Battle of Cairhien. The number of casualties isn't mentioned, but I'm hazarding 10,000. Then we have 150,000 from those four clans who hadn't decided at the time, but joined later. Note that after the Battle of Cairhien Aiel was still coming in from the waste, so the number may be even higher.
  • There are 'perhaps four hundred' channeling Shaido Wise Ones acording to CoT. If we assume that the number of Wise Ones is roughly equal for each sept, we end up with 4,800 in total... Of course, it's an open question how strong they are.
-
Legion of the Dragon
-
Numbers: 18,000
Type: Light Infantry.
Last Known Position: 4,000 in Illian (3,000 are Illianers), rest in Andor.
Comments:
  • Originally 15,000, but after Illian was taken some members of the army agreed to follow Rand and was enlisted into the Legion. 3000 sounds reasonable.
  • This number only takes into account those trained and ready for battle. There are probably several more still in training.
-
Band of the Red Hand
-
Numbers: 10,000
Type: Light Infantry, Heavy Infantry, Light Cavalry and Heavy Cavalry \ Special Operations Force.
Last Known Position: Northern Murandy.
Comments: Originally three thousand. Increased to six thousand after the Battle of Cairhien, and later to ten thousand while they were hanging around Salidar.
-
Bashere's Army
-
Numbers: 8,000
Type: Light Cavalry.
Last Known Position: Nearby Caemlyn.
-
Winged Guards
(Mayene)
-
Numbers: 1,000
Type: Light Cavalry.
Last Known Position: 900 with Perrin in northern Amadicia, the rest presumably in Mayene.
Comments: This is a pure guess, but since Mayene is just a city and 'a few miles of land' I can't see how it could be any higher.
-
The Companions
(Illian)
-
Numbers: 6,000
Type: Unknown, presumably a standard mix of infantry and cavalry.
Last Known Position: Illian.
Comments: Any levied forces either went home or joined the Legion of the Dragon.
-
Defenders of the Stone
(Tear)
-
Numbers: 16,000
Type: Infantry and Cavalry
Last Known Position: 3,000 are assigned to the Band of the Red Hand in morthern Murandy, the rest is in Illian.
Comments: 6,000 are the Defenders of the Stone, the rest are levied forces. I put it at ten thousand since it was all paid for by one single lord.
-
Cairhien
-
Numbers: 6,000
Type: Light Infantry, Heavy Infantry and Heavy Cavalry.
Last Known Position: Half are with the Band of the Red Band in northern Murandy, the other half is in the western Tear \ eastern Illian area.
Comments: After the civil war and the Shaido War it's highly probable that the only Cairhien force left that's worthy of note is the one assigned to the Band.
-
The Asha'man
-
Numbers: 1000
Type: Special Forces.
Last Known Position: The vast majority at the Black Tower in Andor.
Comments: This number includes Soldiers and Dedicated as well as full Asha'man.

Friendly Forces

-
Army of Lord Perrin Goldeneyes
-
Numbers: 2,300 (300 Two Rivers men, less than 2,000 lancers), 11 channelers (3 Aes Sedai, 2 Asha'man, 6 Wise Ones).
Type: Light Infantry and Light Cavalry.
Last Known Position: Northern Amadicia.
Comments:
  • The Two Rivers men are all archers (longbows).
  • 900 of the lancers are from Mayene, the rest presumably from Ghealdan.
-
The Legion of the Wall
(Ghealdan)
-
Numbers: 1,100
Type: Light Cavalry
Last Known Position: With Perrin in northern Amadicia.
-
Queen's Guards
(Andor)
-
Numbers: 5,000
Type: Light and Heavy Infantry.
Last Known Position: In Caemlyn.
Comments:
  • 2,000 mostly mercenaries, 3,000 from the Houses loyal to Elayne. CoT didn't mention Cavalry.
  • 100 are Elayne's personal bodyguard.
-
Army of the Rebel Aes Sedai
-
Numbers: 50,000 soldiers, 450 Wardners, 330 Aes Sedai.
Type: Infantry and Heavy Cavalry.
Last Known Position: Besieging Tar Valon.
Comments: There are a little less than a thousand Aes Sedai all in all. One third joined the Rebels and one third went to the Tower. The rest are just waiting on the side to see who will win. More Warders than Aes Sedai here because of the presence of the Green Ajah and the absence of the Red.
-
Crazy Masema's Army
-
Numbers: 10-12,000.
Type: 'Light Cavalry'.
Last Known Position: Northern Amadicia.
Comments: This is only those who accompany Perrin. There are probably several thousand more shattered across Ghealdan. They are all very ragtag.

Neutral Forces

-
Borderland Army
-
Numbers: 260,000
Type: Infantry and Heavy Cavalry.
Last Known Position: 200,000 one month from Caemlyn, outside Andor's northernmost border. The rest is guarding the Blight.
Comments: No matter how quiet the Blight is, the Borderlanders would not have been stupid enough to strip their borders for everything. I'm chancing the guess that they left fifteen thousand for each nation.
-
Rodel Ituralde's Army
(the Wolf)
-
Numbers: 3,000
Type: Unknown, presumably a standard mix of infantry and cavalry.
Last Known Position: Arad Doman.
Comments: CoT says 'a few thousand men'. I'm guessing on three thousand.

Hostile Forces

-
Army of the Dark One
-
Numbers: Unknown, but a lot!
Type: Heavy Infantry and Light Cavalry.
Last Known Position: The Blight.
Comments: Too bad we don't have any numbers on them...
-
The Hailene
(Seanchan)
-
Numbers: 55,000 soldiers, 15 damane.
Type: Light Infantry, Heavy Infantry, Light Cavalry, Heavy Cavalry and Extraordinary Forces.
Last Known Position: At least 15,000 soldiers and 100 damane is in Amadicia, the rest is in Altara.
Comments: Fifty thousand are Seanchan; the rest is recruited Taraboners, Amadicians and Altarans. The Forerunners consists of five hundred ships.
-
The Coenne
(Seanchan)
-
Numbers: 200,000 soldiers, 300 damane.
Type: Light Infantry, Heavy Infantry, Light Cavalry, Heavy Cavalry and Extraordinary Forces.
Last Known Position: In Tarabon and Altara or waiting to be unloaded from the ships in Tanchico's and Ebou Dar's harbor.
Comments: The Coenne consists of "thousands of ships" and "hundreds of thousands of soldiers, craftsmen and others", so I'm assuming 200,000 of those are soldiers.
-
The Ever Victorious Army
(Seanchan)
-
Numbers: 300,000, 400 damane.
Type: Light Infantry, Heavy Infantry, Light Cavalry, Heavy Cavalry and Extraordinary Forces.
Last Known Position: In Seanchan.
Comments: Technically both the Hailene and the Coenne is part of the Ever Victorious Army - this is the part that stayed home to guard Seanchan. I don't have any idea of their numbers, but I keep thinking on them as an enlarged Roman Empire which had 200,000 at its height. Therefore I'm guessing on 300,000 plus four hundred damane.
-
The Shaido Aiel
-
Numbers: 150,000 spears, 400 Wise Ones (channelers).
Type: Infantry / Elite Forces.
Last Known Position: Scattered from Illian to Ghealdan, 10,000 spears and all channelers are in northern Amadicia.
Comments:
  • This number includes the Brotherless who joined up with the Shaido before Cairhien.
  • They had 160,000 before the Battle of Cairhien. I'm guessing on 20,000 fatalities (Rand was flinging saidin at them). In addition 20,000 were taken as gai'shain. Also, they attacked with 40,000 at Dumai's Wells and less than 30,000 survived.
  • CoT mentiones 400 channeling Shaido Wise Ones. I have not included some fifty apprentices.
  • In northern Amadicia there are 10,000 fighting men (and Maidens!) with 17,000 in total, plus nearly twice as many gai'shain.
-
Army of the Tower Aes Sedai
-
Numbers: 15,000 Tower Guards, 215 Warders, 200 Younglings, 258 Aes Sedai.
Type: Light Infantry, Heavy Infantry and Light Cavalry.
Last Known Position: Tar Valon.
Comments:
  • Figured fewer Warders than Aes Sedai because of the presence of the Red Ajah.
  • There was originally 330 Aes Sedai. 33 was involved in the kidnapping of Rand and only 12 returned to the Tower. Also, 51 sisters were captured by the Asha'man.
  • 200 of the Aes Sedai are in the tower according to CoT. I don't know where the rest are.
-
Tairean Rebels
-
Numbers: 20,000
Type: Unknown, presumably a standard mix of infantry and cavalry.
Last Known Position: Besieging the Stone of Tear.
-
The Children of the Light
-
Numbers: 9,000
Type: Light Cavalry.
Last Known Position: Northern Amadicia
-
Andorian Rebels
-
Numbers: 40,000 fighting men.
Type: Unknown, presumably a standard mix of infantry and cavalry.
Last Known Position: Besieging Caemlyn.
Comments: Eight camps surrounding Caemlyn with 5,000 fighting men in each.
