This Cosworth has been modified to meet federal EPA and DOT for 1995 model year vehicles. It is on a current California title and registration, with a USA VIN issued by the importation company. It was sold new in Germany in 1995, and was shipped to the USA in 1997. I am the third USA owner. Car has been on the west coast since its arrival.
All records since the car has been in the USA. Recent service includes new timing belt, new hoses and belts, new water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, Bosch fuel pump, MAP sensor, air flow sensor, front CV boot, coolant resevoir tank. All owners have always used Synthetic oil.

Vehicle is in great condition. Exterior is clean with no body damage. Paint is in great condition. Interior is excellent with no tears in seats or wear on steering wheel.
Two small dings in passenger door. A touched up scratch on the right rear bumper corner and light curb rash on the wheels (previous owner!!). Small sealed crack in windshield (8mm).
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's a rally fan, or a discerning collector who wants a historically significant car no one else at the show/meet will have. The Ford Escort RS Cosworth is a real sleeper and won't impress the average Joe; only those aficionadoes who really know automobiles and can appreciate the unmolested quality of this particular example.

Regarding price, please shop around and you will realize this is a very realistic and reasonably priced example. There are companies selling Escort Cosworths assembled from a left over motorsports chassis and spare parts with only Canadian registration for more than this Cologne Germany Ford factory built original with an American title and California registration. I am honestly in no hurry to sell this car and would like to see it go to a good home and to a true Cosworth or rally enthusiast who can appreciate it and can afford to care for it.
