MATERIALS

#4, 6 Fan Brush, 740-2,4,6,8 Dry Brushes, Stylus, 1000 Mini Liner, 980-1 Ult Round, Ruff Stuff Applicator #2,


Prepare Greenware carefully, removing all seams and replacing any detail lost in cleaning. Wipe down with a damp sponge. Bisque Fire to witness cone 04.

STEP 1-- Thin Jet Black Glaze to rolling consistency (2 capfuls water to a 4oz jar). Pour into the vase and roll to coat the inside. Drain upside down then fire to witness cone 06.
STEP 2-- Using the Fan Brush, apply one coat of Midnight Black the entire outside of the vase. Let Dry.
STEP 3-- Using the Drybrush most appropriate to the are in which you are working, Drybrush as follows: Sky: Stipple(pouncing up & down) Butter Cookie to the entire sky area, followed by stippling Melon starting from the top of the sky to approx. half way down, followed by Phoenician Flame, starting at the top of the sky to a quarter of the way down.
STEP 4-- Blanket: DB Rust, HL with Natural Brown, LHL with Bayberry Beige.
Stripe at bottom of her cape: DB Creamy Beige. Using the Stylus, apply dot of Phoenician Flame to a diamond shape. Start with a line of 4 small dots, followed by a row of 3 dots each side of this line, followed by 2 dots, followed by a single dot. Let Dry.Using the Mini Liner enclose these dots with a fine line of Coal Black. Using 980-1 apply White to the small stripes on the blanket, when dry using the stylus apply small dot of Turquoise to these stripes
STEP 5-- Hair: BC with North Sea. DB with Coal Black. Very LHL with White. Hair Tie: Alternate with stripes of Phoenician Flame and Turquoise. Between these stripes apply a fine stripe of Sterling Silver. STEP 6-- Moon: DB Phoenician Flame.
STEP 7: With a Ruff Stuff Applicator, apply Ruff Stuff to the mountains as follows:
These will require 2 coats letting each coat dry before the next. Back Mountains: Navajo Peach, Middle Mountain: Oatmeal, Front Mountain: Desert Clay.
STEP 8-- Vases: Lg Round: DB Creamy Beige, Swirls & spear Shapes: French Vanilla Circle behind spear shapes:Turquoise. Outline with a fine line of Coal Black. Urn: DB French Vanilla, using the Mini Liner apply 2 fine lines at the top neck and another midway down. Leaving inverted �V� fill in the upper part of these lines with Turquoise. Using the Stylus apply small dots of Phoenician Flame to the centre of the French Vanilla. Lg pot on her left: DB French Vanilla. Using the Mini Liner apply 2 fine lines 1/4� from the top and another about 1/2� from that. Using the Mini Liner apply fine �V� between theses lines. Top rim using Turquoise. The lower rim using Phoenician Flame.
STEP 9-- Beaded Rim: Using the 980-1, apply Turquoise to the larger beads. Apply Sterling Silver to the beads in between.
STEP 10-- DB the smooth areas with Coal Black.
STEP 11-- When dry cover the design area with a paper towel then lightly spray the solid black area with Matte Spray.
