2705 Snowman Candy Dish with bird.
Prepare all greenware carefully, removing all seams and replacing any detail lost in cleaning.Wipe down with a damp sponge. Note: When applying underglaze to greenware, let each coat dry before applying the next.

STEP 1 - Using a soft brush appropriate to the area in which you are working, apply as follows;
Hair - three coats of Buckwheat
Nose - three coats of Golden Orange.
Holly - three coats of Speckle Jade
Eyes:
Irises - three coats of Concord Blue
Using a liner apply Blue Jewel in small fine lines from the outer edge of the iris toward the center. Also with a fine line outline the iris. Pupil - Apply two coats of Onyx, highlight with a dot of Oyster White. Using a mini liner apply Onyx to form eye lash and outline 3/4 of the eye.
Eyebrows - apply a small brow with Onyx.
Bird beak - apply three coats of Golden orange.
Eyes - Apply a dot of Black Pearl, highlight with a small dot of Oyster White.

Step 2 - Scarf - apply four coats of Raspberry let dry between coats.
Hat - three coats of Pewter Gray.
Hat Band - four coats of Raspberry.
Rope on the sack - Apply three coats of Speckle Brown.
Fire to witness cone 04.

Step 3 - Antiquing Snowman - using a soft brush apply a heavy coat of Blue Underglaze to the snowman. Using a damp sponge wipe away from the high areas leaving in crevices. Nose, hair and brooms - using a brush apply a coat of Fiji One-Stroke. Using a slightly damp sponge, paper towel or cotton swab, whichever the area in which you are working in calls for, lightly wipe back leaving in the crevices.
Holly - leaves apply Pharaoh Green and repeat the direction for wiping with sponge.

Step 4 - Using a # 4 round brush, apply 4 coats of SUG Red to the berries. Allow to dry between each coat. Using a mop brush, apply 2 coats of Perfectly clear Glaze to the entire outside of the snowman. Including the berries.

Step 5 - Glazing the Snowman:
Sack - Roll Perfectly Clear Glaze to the inside of the sack. Rolling Glaze: Thin perfectly Clear Glaze: 2 capfuls of water to a 4 oz jar and pour to the inside of all pieces Roll to coat evenly. Pour excess, Allow to drain upside down until dry. Remove drip marks with sponge.Using the Ultimate Glaze Brush, apply 3 even coats of Peruvian Palm Glaze to the outside of the sack. Bird - apply two coats of Perfectly Clear to the eyes and beak Apply three coats Peruvian Palm Glaze to the remainder of the bird.Lightly wipe back from the chest & cheek areas. To these areas apply two coats of Perfectly Clear Glaze. Fire to witness cone 06. Step 6 - Using a brush reserved for Liquid Bright Gold,apply two vertical lines and two horizontal lines to the scarf.(See Photo).Apply two fine vertical lines to the hat band every 6mm.Fire to witness cone 019.
