'Gulflander' on Norman River Bridge
The "Gulflander" crossing the Norman River, Wednesday 8th March, 1995.
This is one of the most interesting and unique railways in Queensland. This line is isolated from the rest of Queensland Rail, and runs between the towns of Normanton and Croydon. Because my trip was taken in the off-tourist season (during the summer months), there were there were only 2 other passengers besides myself, and the driver was happy to arrange an impromptu photo stop. (Try doing that on a main line train!). I can't wait to go again....
