            August – December 2007

                        Student Teacher, Weimar High School, Weimar TX

                        Taught classes in the subject areas of Introduction to World Agricultural Science

                        and Technology, Wildlife and Recreation Management, Home Maintenance, and

                        Introduction to Agricultural Mechanics. Trained multiple Leadership

                        Development Event teams and interacted with school faculty and administration in various capacities.

 

            September 2007 – Present

                        Instructor, Texas Parks and Wildlife Hunter Education

Completed Texas Hunter Education Instructor Course and became certified to

teach basic Hunter Education course.                        

 

            April 2007 – Present

                        Field Technician, Fortex Grass LLC, Bryan, TX

                        Duties include producing Zoysia and Bermuda grass, servicing equipment, and some minor fabrication and construction.

                        Maintained a safe and healthy work environment, assisted with preparation of

                        Maintained traps in order to obtain accurate information for each cotton field, interacted with farmers to inform them of practices of the Eradication Foundation, and aided in servicing the company fleet of vehicles weekly.

                        Student Assistant, Texas Agricultural Experiment Station, Vernon, TX

                        Attended to research projects on the Waggoner Ranch, interacted with scientists of various agricultural backgrounds, and organized and constructed research projects.

 

Activities

                        Member, Texas A&M University Future Agricultural Science Teachers

                        Attended meetings designed to prepare students for teaching roles, attained invaluable knowledge from Agricultural Science teachers, and participated in Leadership Development Clinics to sharpen leadership skills of students.

 

            August 2003 – May 2006

                        Member, Texas A&M University Agricultural Leadership Society

                        Participated in service projects such as “Big Event” and “Replant” to benefit the people of Brazos County, attended meetings which allowed Agriculture majors to converse with each other, and conducted fundraisers to support the organization.
