Misc. Signs, Etc.

This sign can be found at the Visitor center in Yangmingshan National Park in the Chingtiengkeng area.

The King of the Wonton restaurant is located in Danshui.

Saw this sign in Shilin. The content was somewhat out of context. We were in a residential area, and thus there would not be much to hunt. Furthermore, with a lack of scenic landscape or point of interest, one could not find anything to sketch or photograph...except this sign.

Saw this sign in Chihshan station (Alternate spellings: Zhishan; J-Shen).

Question 1. Acknowledging the fact that this contraption is, indeed, an alarm, and noting that alarms are usually loud, wouldn't the staff hear it?

Question 2. In light of question one, wouldn't some member of 'the staff' be one who set off the alarm in the first place?

Question 3. Is it common practice to use what looks like a PC computer speaker for an alarm output?

Question 4. Whatever the case be with the speaker, is it common practice to have an on/off switch and volume knob on an alarm speaker?

These three anti-drug signs were spotted in CKS International airport.

The significance of the beetle is?
(And remember kids: Don't drug)
This is the first sign you see as you exit the gate from the plane.
(The sticker on your visa probably already forewarned this).
A somewhat obscure list. Is there a pentazocine problem in Formosa?

As one ascends the stairs (or more likely for the locals - the escalator) from exit #6 at Hsimen MRT station, large ads loom into view. This is the latest ad posted at the mouth of Hsimen walkway. With each visit I've noticed numbers of people standing around staring, laughing, and taking photos of this ridiculous sign.

This happy fellow at CKS Airport welcomes people to Taiwan.
