Anecdote: Met this little fellow early on in the trip to this beautiful island. He would show up around breakfast time, pathetic mews for food scraps. I'd share my eggs with him. He was well-mannered, and waited his turn (unlike some of the roam-around dogs which would just jump up on the wooden table and fall asleep). I named him Aldous, though, no doubt, like the Littlest Hobo, he has many names given from the number of backpackers he's affected.
I'll see if he's still about this Chinese New Year.
