She has declared martial law over the mining colonies surrounding Del Mar as'Hifax, and has been charged with executing the rebel Dufirial Mal commandos in the nearby forest.

Calahir: A Dufiriel Mal elf whom Kobort meets during his arrival at the Dufiriel Mal camp. Calahir is haughty towards the dwarf, but is otherwise a prankster of sorts.
Cicerodus: A servant of matron Pannonia dispatched to retrieve Leonidas. It was he who incited the battle at Wrenbridge that brought about Devorak's death. He is cold and calculating and would have made a brilliant officer would he not have been restricted by his gender. Instead he carries out certain grim tasks for Matron Pannonia.
Church-Protector of Lanek: Oskar Greene's superior gave him the mission to Mierlien. Besides being just a powerful priest, he seems to have an interest in falconry.
Danarba: A dwarven female loyal to the Firiel Matriarchy who enjoys tormenting the male slaves of Del Mar as'Hifax.
Dark Lady, the: A Firilian witch who probes the underground complex of Del Mar as'Hifax. Though the Firilian authorities often worry about her loyalties, she had been effective in suppressing Dwarven opposition. After years of searching, Kobort finally lead her to the hidden temple to Grik Stonemason, where she was defeated by Kobort, who was armed with a Holy Relic of his God. She mysteriously vanished into the solid rock walls of the temple.
del Madus, Fira : Matron of Diplomacy (Firiel).
Devorak (RIP): A Knight of Justice who can best be describe as arrogant and over-bearing. He is not known for showing mercy and has a special hatred for all law-breakers. He was killed by Leonidas at Wrenbridge when a mysterious bounty hunter from Firiel announced that his death warrant had been issued for Leonidas and Devorak attacked.
Dillon (Desperate Dillon, Dillon the Desperate): Priest of Restosis in Dulan, often driven to drink by his work with lost causes, a classic pessimist.
Dogberry the Hobgoblin: An educated and intelligent hobgoblin under the employment of the 3rd Coven of Mylyr. He stole Barandak's sword from an unconscious Rilian and fled into the forest.

Fergus: A skilled hunter of Dulan.
Grieve: Ranger met in Brookhill. He knew Rilian's grandfather and is a rival of Dogberry the Hobgoblin. He apparently knows where Dogberry took Barandak's sword.

It is he, who is responsible for the Mesmeratim.

Nikolos: Dufiriel Mal rebel sergeant that Kobort runs into as he takes Gius to safety.
Pannonia, Sarmana Ariel: The younger sister of Lycurgus Tiberian, and jealous of his success. She is a prominent contributor to a faction known as "The Red Sisters." She was appointed as Leonidas's guardian, but Leonidas did not stay long. Because of her brother's lucky marriage (and subsequent death) to the senatorial class, she has more or less usurped the position once held by Agrippina Tiberian. She has granted a death warrant for Leonidas as a defector.
Quarbek: The de facto leader of the dwarven slaves in Del Mar as'Hifax.
Raven, the: An aloof human sorceress or druid of the hinterlands who watches over it as if it were hers to protect. She came in contact with Leonidas after the battle at Wrenbridge. In the hinterlands she is part of local folklore, supposedly a spy for the gods. Being watched by a raven is considered a bad omen if you are about noncharitable ventures, but a good omen if you are doing good deeds.
Seebor: Seer of Mylyr, companion of Dogberry.
Shields, Byron: Aging Templar priest in Mierlien's village. He is in charge of the small Paladian temple there, thus making him one of Oskar's premier contacts on the Mierlien mission.
Shields, Damien: Illegitimate son of Byron Shields. Oskar had a brush with him in Lanek
Sorceress Queen: The High Consul of Firiel and the Matriarch of the realm. Many factions within the realm do not appreciate her stances on promoting men and many attempts on her life have been made.
Stanek, Brassillius: The Duke of Stanek in Tandril and perhaps the most powerful non-Lantan in the Kingdom. Ten years ago he granted the Briarwood forest to one Guilder Malus Durvan who has enriched the Duchy's coffers with the export of wood. If there is a war brewing in Tandril, he is likely involved.
Terpentiel, Mia: One of the Knights of Justice that originally traveled with Laufrey and Leonidas. Her healing abilities also help Gabriel recover from the disease given to him by Magnus the Contagion.
Tiberian, Agrippina and Lycurgus (RIP): The parents of Leonidas Tiberian who were mysteriously killed. Their death caused Leonidas to lose his nobility (because males do not inherit it Firiel) and to eventually flee Firiel.
Tucker: Aging gnome and elder of Tucker's vale.
