Character Sheets

Dilleachta "Dilly":  Dilly is a sylvan elf sorceress with an unknown heritage.  She was discovered about a year ago with nearly complete amnesia by the Order of the Elm monastery.  She became a ward of the monastery and began assuming the role of a novice.  Before long it became apparent that she had an aptitude for sorcery and she was allowed to pursue magic.  The trauma of her life has apparently caused some mental instability.  She is rather scatter brained and has symptoms of petit mal epilepsy, though no such diagnosis is available in Fäedór.

draiodoir.jpg (78973 bytes) Draíodóir:  Draíodóir is a Syndarin Wizard stationed in Greyhome.  He is also the oldest PC having endured Fäedór for over a century and a half, but far from old as far as elves go.  He was actually born on Tol Taurea and studied in studied as an apprentice in one of the great wizardry academies there before undertaking a wanderlust.  He has a curiosity, borderline obsession, with arcane knowledge and magicks that led him to Greyhome.  He, however, sees Greyhome as a stopover point on his way to Sylvas, which he would love to study intricately, despite its apparent destruction.  Though most at home in a library, he knows that the greatest learning comes from experience and observation.
Draíodóir is highly intelligent and intuitive, but his weakness is very apparent.  His endless studies have left him with a severe lack of brawn.  Lucky for him, he has found a back up to his spells in the long bow, of which he is an average shot.

Eolande Thea'Vreahl:  Eolande was young enough when the city of Sylvas fell that his memories of the grand and shining city are vague.  Unfortunately, his memories of the fall itself are anything but.  His family, mostly intact in that traditionally his family tended more to the roles of craftsmen and woodsmen rather than warriors or magic wielders, trickled away in pairs and trios to the refuge of Tol Taurea.  Finally came the day when his parents announced that they, too, would seek solace in that haven, an idea which Eolande opposed bitterly and voraciously.  Because of either the nightmares which still haunt him, or perhaps simply the vigor of youth, the elf turned from his family and swore that he would never leave the Sylvan Forest.  Synderin he may be, but he refused to flee his home.

Fortunately, before he managed to get himself killed, Eolande was taken under the wing of a kindly Solastrian Knight.  The young Elf's love and respect for his mentor, Celeste Thea'Vreahl was such that he adopted her surname and became, for all practical purposes, her son.  To this day he is bitter over her death, only four years past, and has resolved with a cold decisiveness quite uncharacteristic of him that he will continue her work.  If the Solastrian Knighthood will take him, so much the better, if not, well, he is young and idealistic, and while he isn't young enough to believe that he alone can face the Mesmeratim, he -is- idealistic enough to die trying to do just that.

Fingolf Sharstenstar: Fingolf's family traces its lineage back to the founding of Sylvas.  They were the defenders of this fair Elven City, until it was destroyed by the Mesmeratim.  Fingolf's father was killed in defense of the city and his mother had to flee to Syndar .  When the Mesmeratim came to Sylvas, Fingolf was in the forest practicing his swordplay  alone, since he was from a warrior tradition, when he was struck with the vision of Sylvas' destruction.  He then received a calling from Pontos Solastrian, an elven demi-god, once founder of Sylvas itself, who called him to be one of his paladins and to strive to rid Fäedór of the Mesmeratim that had destroyed the most beautiful city in the world.  He went to Syndar with the fleeing Syndarin elves and began his training.
As a follower of Pontos Solastrian he will never retreat to Tol Taurea, but rather spend his life defending the Syndarin from the Mesmeratim in the hope that one day the continent will be rid of the infestation.

Gabriel Sol Sequiter:  Gabriel was born to Alice and Tamoroth Sol Sequiter.  Alice is a retired Knight of Justice, and Tamoroth is a retired bard.  The Sol Sequiters live in a quiet village outside of Wrendale to escape and relax from the years of adventuring.  The Sol Sequiters had four children Gabriel being the second.  The children often spent days in art lessons with their father and sword play with their mother as well as doing their chores.
Gabriel displayed the love for painting and spent most of his time painting sceneries while tending the sheep.  The Sol Sequiter family's small farm was plenty to take care of the family's needs. They lived happily.  When Gabriel became of an older age, his wandering spirit grabbed a hold of him.  With his father's blessing to find new inspirations for his painting and his mother's blessing to find new and more skilled opponents, Gabriel left to explore the wide world of Faedor.

Gildian:  Gildian is a tattoo-covered wood elf druidic follower of Gaia.  His druidic order is both ancient and insular and unknown to nearly all scholars as it predates wizardry.  His order call themselves the Sylvan Sentinels and they keep watch over the Wood as best they can.  Gildian is currently on his Vision Quest, a rite of passage for his order.  He saw Greyhome under attack from afar and rushed to lend his assistance.

Kobort:  Kobort is a young member of the "Cult of the Stoneshapers", secret worshipers of Grik Stonemason.  As such he has little political power but is in a position to rise to such, given a couple of hundred years or so.
Like most of his cult, he is "hidden in plain site" as a mineworker, though he has little extraordinary mining skill.  He is a priest of Law and of War, a position he takes seriously, even for a Dwarf.  He is trained for war if it comes and will do his best to defend his people and its resources, including his people's stone and metal being stolen by the Overladies.  Kobort will obey the lawful orders of his leaders and God, but wants badly to free his people and that which his God has ment to be rightfully theirs.  He has the patience of a dwarf, so for now he is grudgingly content to wait for the right time to come.
In what time he works the mine, a small percentage of the mithril he mines is dedicated to his God and stashed, not to be lost to potential enemies. He knows he should tell his leaders about his initiative, but his dedication to his people and his God comes first.  This is the source of much internal strife for Kobort, as his leaders should be told about this stockpile, but he has just told himself he will tell them "when it comes up" and is willing to take the consequences for his actions...

Laith:  Laith was born in small elven village, and was raised by both parents.  That is until one day when his family was attacked by a group of Dark Elves while traveling.  The reason for the trip has long been forgotten by Laith for the tragedy at times even overwhelms him to this day.  All of the traveling companions which included both parents and several friends and relatives some of the same age as Laith were killed during this raid.  Laith managed to survive by finding a hiding place and staying quiet, he believes that there was also divine intervention by the god/goddess Myst whom he was praying to the entire time.  This was because he was relatively young at the time and had no way to defend
himself.
Old enough to realize what had just happened, Laith was devastated.  When the attack was over, Laith performed some semblance of a ceremony for the dead and dealt with the bodies.  He also realized that he must now find somewhere to live, somewhere that he could learn skills necessary to allow him to bring justice to those who had preformed this crime.  After several weeks on his own Laith came to the Order of the Elm monastery, an elven monastery, somewhere that he knew he could remain safe and regain his health.  It was not until this time that Laith allowed himself to even relax at all, to this day his guard is high whenever not at the monastery, for fear that no place is truly safe.
After telling his story to the elves Laith was allowed to remain at the monastery, eventually becoming a monk and following the order himself.  He found strength of mind and body during his stay at the monastery and after a time developed a bond with those present, at bond that remains to this day.
Throughout his life Laith has not forgotten the need to bring justice to those who had killed his family, and in fact to all those who preformed crimes.  His conviction to the Law is strong but not unreasonable.  If a law is seen as unjust he may understand reasons to bend or break the law, and if the ruler is unjust then things should be changed, Laith feels that there is a higher Law, one beyond that of Kings that even rulers must be held to.  He holds to the idea that life is sacred and should not be taken unless necessary, even those whom he seeks to punish will not be killed unless there is no other option.  He would rather incapacitated an enemy with out killing if that is possible, at least for
those that have intelligence, that is conscious and not just an beast or monster.
Laith along with most elves, has a special vendetta for the Dark Elves and his code sometimes waivers in regards to them.  The corruption that they bring disgusts him and he wishes to what can be done to stop this plague.  In his adventures Laith will often seek time to meditate in order to bring clarity to his mind and to pray not only to Alfaer Llywn, the god/goddess of monks, but also and for personal reasons of his belief of the intervention of Myst.  Myst will always hold a special place in his heart for this reason.

Leonidas "Leon" Maxiumus Tiberian:  Leonidas is a kind-hearted young man.  As a native of Firiel, he has a respect for women that other cultures do not produce.  He abhors violence and murder, and will only fight when he feels that it is both necessary and honorable.  Leonidas is strong-willed and has the qualities necessary to be a leader, but being a gentle person from a disenfranchised gender, he often holds back.  He has a great love for music, dancing and stories.  He loves to play games, and often says that “the sound of children laughing is mightier magic than all of the sorcery in Firiel.”  He is intrigued by magic, because of its beauty and awesome power, but is suspicious of it because its secrets were alien to the men in his culture, and it was used as a means of oppressing them.  Because he is gentle, Leonidas is often put-off as being stupid or slow-witted.  In reality, he is moderately intelligent and very wise, though he is content to let others maintain their misconceptions of him.  Not the most nimble of men, Leonidas often relies on his size and strength to overcome obstacles.  He detests bullies, and will attempt to “discipline” one whenever the opportunity presents itself.

The Tiberian family had long been among the elite of the Senatorial Class.  Leonidas’s mother, Agrippina, was the Matriarch of the family until her obscure death.  She was affectionately called the White Witch because of her willingness to use magic for public good.  She held an influential position in the High Council of Firiel and was admired by most of her colleagues.  Her husband, Lycurgus, was perhaps the most powerful man in the Empire.  He was the first male to be awarded the position of Battalion Commander in the Maldavian Guard, the elite body-guard of the High Consul, also known as the Sorceress Queen, until his obscure death.  Leon’s parents died shortly after his acceptance into the Maldavian Guard after he graduated from the Ra-Mak Si Military Academy, the highest warrior training school in Firiel.  There, he won the admiration of his peers and superiors through his unmatched strength, and combat prowess.  The women who commanded the students nicknamed him “Adonis” because of his immaculate physical stature, and his peers nicknamed him “Lionheart” partly as a play off his name, but also because of his nature, primarily his strong will, and kind, gentle heart.

The official story behind the death of the Tiberian Matriarch and her consort was that they had been slaughtered by marauding orcs that had made several incursions into the Western part of the Kingdom.  However, with Agrippina’s death, Leon lost all of his family status and was forced to resign from the Maldavian Guard, as only the male-members of the High Council Class could serve in its ranks, before he could investigate the matter.  As his mother was an only child, by law he was given to his father’s sister, Sarmana Ariel Pannonia, who is a prominent figure with a small faction known as “The Red Sisters.”  They are a conservative organization that oppose elevating the status of men within the kingdom, and often promote “Crusades” for the liberation of oppressed women all over Fäedór.  Though not a political member of the faction, Sarmana is nonetheless influential because of her vast wealth.

Leon greatly disliked his aunt, and refused to disown his family name and take hers.  She tried to have him executed for disloyalty, but he was spared by the Sorceress Queen, though he was forced to serve in her palace as a slave.  The Sorceress Queen, over the objection of The Red Sisters, granted Leon a position in the Maldavian Guard within the palace.  However, soon after, several nearly successful attempts were taken on the Sorceress Queen’s life, all of them during Leon’s watch.  Leon, intelligent enough to see through the façade of marauding orcs, began to suspect intrigue beyond his grasp.  He fled the palace, and the kingdom of Firiel, lest his presence further endanger the Sorceress Queen, and he has endeavored to uncover the truth of the death of his parents and the attacks on the palace.

Since fleeing Firiel, Leon has learned little of the intrigue, for the politics of the Matriarchy are often isolated from the rest of Fäedór.  He has become a wanderer, though necessity occasionally forces him into the life of a mercenary.  He always wears the armor, shield, sword and trappings that he was given when he was anointed as a soldier in the Maldavian Guard.  It serves as a reminder of his past life, and as motivation behind his uncompleted quest to avenge his family.  Recently, Leon has befriended a rogue ranger who he knows only as Alexander.  Though Leon suspects that Alexander is a defector from Firiel, who was perhaps trained to be one of the elite scouts of the Dufiriel Mal, Alexander will not discuss his background.  Alexander has only stated that he “has vested interests” in the Kingdom of Firiel, and has offered to supply Leon with any information that he finds, and in return Leon serves as one of Alexander’s body-guards when he is outside of Firiel.

Lou:  Lou is the product of an unfortunate childhood.  His parents were already of considerable age when Lou was brought into the world in the village of Dulan.  His mother narrowly escaped the rigors of childbirth and never fully recovered.  She passed away while Lou was three.  Lou's aging father struggled to raise the headstrong boy, but had little success in controlling him.  He ceased to have any influence over Lou by the time he was fourteen.  Lou's father met his doom to a wild boar while hunting in the Goblin Wood.  The animal was tracked down by several hunters, Lou among them, and Lou pierced the heart of the boar with his arrow.  (Of course he shot from point blank and the creature was already severely injured by the other hunters and probably would have died anyway.)
Lou's occupation as a "hunter" is a running joke in Dulan where he is regularly chastised for his lack of skill.  Still he manages to somehow come up with enough money to enjoy a few drinks at the Tavern and for the other necessities of life.  It is fairly common knowledge that Lou hangs around those of questionable reputation, and rumours of his dealings can be heard among some segments of the populace who need something to entertain themselves.
Lou still lives in his parent's house and keeps a stash of "trophies" underneath the floorboards that he has secured from unwary travelers over the past few years.  To avoid suspicion in town he's discovered that selling "trophies" to travelers is safer than trying to sell them to the other villagers.  Travelers care less about his source.

nakeyawithbow.jpg (57278 bytes)nakeya2.jpg (132568 bytes) Na’keya Salogel:  Na'keya Nordstromidoda Salogel of Archer's Way is a 152-year-old female Sylvan elf. She grew up in Syndar in a prominent family. Her father, Hershimov Tanuvial, tried to raise her as a cleric to the god Shevarsh, but she had her own ideas on this. She only took the teachings to heart, not the desire to be one of his clerics. She would sneak out on her own to the city's walls where she learned archery from the city's guards. When she was 140, her parents found out. They told her she had to give it up, breaking her bow. Devastated, she left and took up with some elves in the Sylvan wood. There she learned the arts of a bowyer and further perfected her talent with a longbow. After ten years she finished making a beautiful black ninety-inch longbow, named Nordstromidoda, and she took its name as her own.
She was involved in an 'incident' which landed her in trouble, but no one there knew her. She met up with a group called the Blue Rogues when they made a jail break to free some of their own. She readily joined them. For two years she traveled with them, in which she feel in love with the celestial Salogel, had a daughter Alia, and had many other crazy adventures.
Her life was still happy until the Mesmeratim struck Blue Rogue Isle. They took her daughter from her, though she refuses to believe reports that Alia is dead. Her celestial lover left in his grief, and she bears him no malice for leaving.
She has sworn to her god to kill the Mesmeratim and has become quite religious since the attack. She has since returned to Syndar and made a tentative peace with her family, who has finally accepted that she is no cleric. She is ready to join any cause that may lead to the destruction of the Mesmeratim.
The ONLY thing she is good at is shooting her bow. She lies quite a bit, but is TERRIBLE at it, always getting caught. She is easily taken advantage of, but if she ever finds out about it, she can be quite nasty.

Oskar Greene: (Last Post 4-14-02) Oskar is a cleric of Palad hailing from western Tandril, the Duchy of Lanek.  As a member of a family with strong religious convictions, and having shown an interest and curiosity about the gods from his early years, he was encouraged by his family--especially his father, but all of whom are devout worshippers of Palad, to pursue a career in the church.  His father, a successful and affluent (but far from rich) carpet merchant had the means necessary to assure Oskar's entry into the church where is quick ability and insight propelled him far.  His education was swift and by the time he reached 16 years of age was given his ordainment into the priesthood.
As a worshipper of Palad, his favored weapon is the long sword.  He also wears scale mail and carriers a shield upon which the holy symbol of Palad is painted.  He has black hair and blue eyes and is a good-natured, easy going young man.
He is also from a large family.  Both his father (Arthom) and mother (Sarah) are still alive.  He is the youngest of 8 children with 5 brothers and two sisters--Daniel, Edgar, Diana, Samantha, Jonathon, Simon, and Gavin (in order).  All his siblings are married.  He officiated Gavin's marriage to Surende, who is now with child.

Rilian:  Rilian is a half-orc ranger raised by his human grandfather, Thimbolt, after his mother died in childbirth.  His grandmother was killed in the Fenn during the orc raid where his mother was taken prisoner.  Rilian's grandfather tracked down the orcs and recovered his mother, now with child.  Thimbolt and Rilian's mother relocated to the eastern hinterlands  in order to be distant from the Fenn and  be closer to the elves whom he had grown close with in his adventuring days.
When Rilian's grandfather past away he inherited many of the items his grandfather had from his adventuring days, including elven arrows, a mythril shirt, and a longsword.  The longsword was promptly stolen by Dogberry for reasons unknown.

Zander:  Zander is a Sylvan Elf Ranger.  His father was skilled with the sword and his mother was skilled as a druid, the blending of the two help to produce his occupation.  His father met his doom against the Mesmeratim first and his mother fled with the 100 year-old Zander away from the advancing mist.  Zander then lost his mother to an orc  raid some 20 years later.
Zander then went to live with is uncle in Moonshadow where he spent much of his time reading in his uncle's library.  His was especially fond of the the legends and stories surrounding the Sylvan Tigers.  Refusing to believe that the stalwart defenders of Sylvas would have been so easily defeated by the Mesmeratim, he decided to go forth in search of them.  His search has led him to Greyhome.

These PCs may returned at a later date by contacting the DM/GM.

artemisia copy.gif (14442 bytes) Artemisia Stefania Anastos: Retired Artemisia is the offspring of an affair between her human mother, Damara Aspasia Anastos, and a elven servant.  The family matron, Damara's mother, Panagiota Anastos, was angered by the affair and immediately dismissed the elf, whose name has been barred from speaking in the household.  As such, Artemisia does not know her father's name or whether he still lives.  Because of her half-elf heritage she has been poorly treated by her grandmother and her own mother has done little for her for fear of the grandmother.
Artemisia, however, learned through imitation and careful watch of her grandmother and learned to intimidate and manipulate people, especially men.  She has also discovered that her inherited elven beauty and finesse could be used to enhance her developing skills.  Though Artemisia has the potential to be a skillful matron, Panagiota has seen to it that it will not be the case because, "Artemisia is of unpure blood."  Her younger half-sister Calliope, the product of a forced marriage between her mother and the son of another powerful house, shall inherit the matronship.

Artemisia has found her place, however, in the ranks of the royal assassins, or rather diplomats.  Her potential was recognized by Calliope's tutor when she outshined Calliope at a gala by telling an engrossing story that had men swooning over her.  Matron Panagiota was happy to have the disgrace of Artemisia out of the house, so she agreed to have her enlisted into "diplomatic training."
She reports directly to the High Matron of Diplomacy, a member of the Queen's Advisory Council, known as Fira del Madus.  She was trained at a top secret school in the far west of the kingdom which is unnamed.  She was taken there under spells of blindness and deafness and cannot divulge the location.  She was specifically trained to hunt dissidents who have escaped Firiel and are a potential threat to the kingdom's security from the outside.  Her half-elven heritage has compromised her status, however, she is poorly treated and despises most of her superiors.

Ivellios Sianodel:  Last Post 10-17-01  Though is Ivellios is Syndarin, he has a skin pigment disorder that makes his skin appear to be a very, very dark gray.  As a result, those not viewing him in good light or with much care tend to think he is a Mesmeratim, and try to kill him on sight.  Despite that, he is a very good-looking elf, with tall, slender and symmetrical features and purplish-silver eyes.  His hair is a very light amber, again adding to Mesmeratim appearance.  He often wears blue, purple, and black robes and cloaks that are made of elven silk and flutter chaotically in the wind. He keeps his tomes, weapons, and other tools concealed in the fluttering masses of cloaks.
Having faced unwonted persecution throughout the bulk of his life, Ivellios has become very individualistic and quite paranoid.  He shuns meeting new people and is often as quick to judge others as they are to judge him.  However, he is very benevolent and will not hesitate to right-wrongs and is known for his altruism.  In conversation, he will seem very distracted sometimes and harshly objective at other times.  He is willing to “go with the flow” most of the time, but desires to direct the flow on occasion.

Ivellios has no real recollection of his younger childhood.  All he remembers is the prejudice that he faced for the darkened tones of his skin.  His parents, who were afflicted in the same way, were shunned and eventually lynched by self-righteous and paranoid "politicians" who just wanted to show their uniform hatred of the Mesmeratim.  After his parents were killed, the leaders took some measure of pity on him and merely exiled him to live on his own.  For the next fifty years or so, Ivellios wandereed from town to town, buying what he could and stealing what he couldn't afford.  Eventually, he ran into a gnomish hermit by the name of Jebeddo "Filchbatter" Ningel, an accomplished magician and tinkerer who saw past Ivellios' ailment and took him in as an apprentice.  As a result of living most of his life in seclusion, Ivellios developed a passion for books and puzzles that aid in his adventuring career today.

Jozan Granan:  RIP Jozan is a loresayer, a man that spends time collecting and telling stories around the world.  He is adept in the art of playing his harp and singing.  He tries to play for money, lodging or whatever he can get.   His family is a simple farming family and are still alive.  He became amazed with the art of performing when he used to see what they called loresayer in taverns in the Hinterlands.  He became an apprentice under him and now travels the world singing songs telling tales and honing his skills as a jack of all trades.

Laufrey (Durax Anvilhammer): Retired  Laufrey, a male dwarven cleric of Alfaer Llywn, was once the son of a well-to-do merchant family of Urdunnil.  His family was accused of supplying weapons to a group of "revolutionaries" who were plotting a coup against the thane.  His family was killed by an angry mob, but Laufrey escaped and shed his heritage, shaved off his beard, and became a cleric of justice in hopes of granting others what his family did not receive.  Visit the Adventure's Logs to learn what is inside this Dwarf's head.  Laufrey has retired from adventuring and works with the Knights of Justice.

Nerzzul: Last Post 1-3-02 Nerzzul spent his early life as a street urchin, with no knowledge of his family heritage.  He picked up the skills he needed to survive on the city streets in Firiel.  Though his means of survival did not always agree with the law, he manage to keep from getting caught.  Before he made the steets a career, however, he was taken in a kindly aging man named Asheln.
Asheln is a life long bachelor and for good reason;  he studies the Arcane arts in private.  He has studied in hiding for fear of the consequences should he be discovered by the Matriarchy.  Nerzzul's natural intelligence made him an apt pupil so Asheln took him in.  Nerzzul has likewise learned to use his magic with caution and has likewise become paranoid about misplacing his spellbook.

Tihr A'Lahn Teremai:  Last Post 4-16-01 Katiana is the daughter of a fallen Sylvan Tiger and she retained the natural shape-shifting ability.  The panther was the family's symbol and reason for that particular animal to morph into.  As a child she was trained in the art of wizardry.  When the Mesmeratim attacked her home, the shape-shifting ability suddenly came to light and she fought her way through the fray and escaped.
Since that time she has become a member of the wandering Sylvan Tigers that plague the Mesmeratim.  There are very few Sylvan Tigers and they wish to keep their continued existence secret from the Mesmeratim lest they be specifically targeted; there is the belief that only one Sylvan Tiger yet remains which precipitates that notion.  She has been trained as a fighter against the Mesmeratim since that time.

Xron Healing-Herb:  Last Post 5-4-01 Xron is a human druid native to the southern hinterlands where he serves as a local healer and herbalist.  He is rarely without his dog and eagle companions.  He his rather short with six inch long brown hair and darker skin tones (reminesent of a greek fellow.  He also has a scar on his left forearm.
