The Mist

The mist is a mysterious fog that has covered the Sylvan Wood.  Its appearance came the same time as the return of Mesmerallun.  The Mist is actually made of the dead spirits of elves that have been killed since the return of Mesmerallun.  The mist will change and warp anything living that enters or anything that the mist will overcome.  As more elves are killed, the volume of the mist will increase until all elves are killed and Mesmerallun will have enough power to begin his quest to conquer all of Fäedór.

The spirits trying to get free from their prison drains elves entering the mist.  The only elves that may roam the mist freely without any trouble are the Sylvan Tigers.  Any elf killed in the mist will become blessed by Mesmerallun and become on of his servants as a Mesmeratim.  These are not exactly a new race but instead they become puppets of Mesmerallun.  They are elves but instead they are soulless shells of their former life.  These puppet elves will not become true Mesmeratim until they are “blessed” by the power of Mesmerallun.  Each puppet will develop into a different Mesmeratim that is unique to the fears of that elf.
