Mist Creatures

Many of the creatures in the mist are creatures that are found all over the realm of Fäedór, but the constant exposure to the mist has in turn warped their forms.  Some creatures have grown to use the mist as a mode as transportation while others have become creatures that use the mist as their food source.  The mist has had a deadening effect on all of the vegetation and water that is in the contaminated section of the wood.

Nightmares

These creatures are direct descendants of the ancient horse packs that roamed the Sylvan Wood and for many an ancient Elven warrior a noble steed.  Now the mist has taken these magnificent horses and changed them into flying death harbingers.  The eyes glow red in the mist.  Every exhaling breath of these creatures produces steam that is said come from their fiery manes.  The once flat hooves are now are sharpened to a razor blades that slice into any prey.  Leaving the mist and being active in the fresh air weaken these creatures.

 Thoraz

Not much is known about these giant insect creatures.  Rumors are that they live in giant hives in the southern part of the Sylvan Wood.  Ruled by a queen magician these enemies have been known to create mass energy attacks when they are in strange formations.  These beasts are docile until threatened and have been known to take riders.

 Goblins

When the mist appeared in the Sylvan Wood, the once extinct goblin tribes were reborn with new vigor.  The mist changed their once weakened state.  Their skin was toughened creating a natural armor and they also become larger versions of their non-mist counterparts.  Some of the Night Runners have reported that some of these goblins have developed a highly effective form of sorcery that aids them in their attacks against the elves.

Other Creatures

Not much else is known about the creatures inside the mist.  Many elven patrols have entered and it seems that very few have ever returned.
