Atlanta
When I first saw this thing, I thought it was a torch. But in fact it's a sculpture called the Androgyne Planet, which was donated to the state of Georgia by the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games' Cultural Olympiad. (I'm culling a lot of these facts from the Centennial Olympic Park web site, by the way.) At the time, I thought this had perhaps been donated by Ericsson, because near the top of the sculpture are three parallel diagonal lines, which resemble very much the Ericsson logo.
