stay in touch, my friends
When we don't exactly see each other
almost every day.
You live not-too-far-away
but kinda-far to say.
It makes it hard to keep in touch
without spending a dime,
or even driving the distance
because that can take some time.
Instead, I'll write you a letter,
and send it there -- the faster the better
(instead of wasting my time
to get this poem to rhyme)
Now off in the mail you go..
Get there fast to let them know
I haven't forgotten about them yet
and I know they haven't, I'll bet.
