Fall 1998
The Wolf in my Life
I,
one of the little pigs
trying to keep my house of strength
from being blown down
by that threatening wolf.
The harder he tries,
the more I resist
Building stronger walls
against him.
But that asshole keeps
coming back
to belittle me,
to make me feel weak,
so he can appear to be stronger.
No way,
No way will I let this fucker
ruin what I have built.
So I build my walls stronger
and stronger –
even stronger
until that day
when he won't be able to
blow my house down.
And I will be the strong one.
And all truths will be known.
And he will walk away:
no friends to lead or follow
completely
alone
