John was born in 1971in New York. He joined the band in 1988, when he was 18. After leaving the band in 1992, he soon started a nearly fatal drug addiction. In 1995, he released his first solo album called "Niandra Lades, and usually just a T-shirt" on producer Rick Rubin's label, American. In 1997, he released his second solo album "Smile From the streets you hold". He rejoined the band in 98' to record Californication and make his 3rd solo album to record only water for ten days. 2, or maybe it was 3, years later, they, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, released the new hit album "By the Way". and are working on a new Greatest hits album which will have new songs on it as well as the timeless classics. |
