Intro

Most people think the Sex Pistols were the first punk band(The Ramones were the first).
But they were the first to have the image most people associate with punk rock, pure agression, spiky hair, and tacky clothing. This band only created one album and several ripoffs by thier manager Malcolm McLaren

Never mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols 1977

Best: Anarchy in the UK
Worst: EMI
Grade: A
This band kickstarted the Punk revolution in the UK and knocked off the prog/art rock groups of the time. Steve Jones is no guitar virtuoso. Sid can't play a note on bass(Glen Matlock played bass on most of the songs). And Rotten can't sing for shit. But this is a good album for its importance and anger. The two hits God Save the Queen and Anarchy in the UK are really good songs. And submission is pretty catchy. But the rest of this album is just uptempo Who inspired rock. And I can't give this album more than a 8.
