Some Advice
During my time spent trying to trace my family tree I have come across many hurdles.  The one I have found most frustrating is not being told the whole truth.  It reminds me of cartoons when you see the donkey with the carrot dangled in front of its nose.  Many times after being given a titbit I have researched it and come back with more questions than answers which is most annoying.  After going back to my original sources to tell them of my discoveries then and only then do the real facts start coming to light.  I know that most people have the odd skeleton or two but honesty is the key to every closet.
However honest you think people are the odd tail will crop up.  Skeletons come in all different shapes and sizes but remember things where a lot different in your great grandparents days.  What may seem as the norm to most people these days would have shocked many in years long gone.  Time is of the essence and that great uncle Jack you where thinking of visiting wont be around forever.  Seek  the oldies first they've been around a lot longer than us.
